no, God loves you. things just happen sometimes, and God doesnt always explain why. just continue to trust God and pray that his will be done in you.

It appears that you are asking the Wrong entity, seems you should be asking your girlfriend why she left you for there in lies your reason. It you kept her happy, and as you say it worked, the God certainly kept his end of the bargain, so to speak. But your girlfriend felt for whatever reason, that you were NOT keeping her happy, or perhaps she just wasn't the RIGHT girl for you.
Sometimes people ask God for things, and they asks amiss. Meaning, that even though you might think that what your a petitioning for is right for you it may not be right for you in the long run and therefore wilts of its own accord.
I would want to know why she left, another guy, where you smothering her with you wants and attention...what. you need to find out so as not to make the same mistakes again.
good luck my friend.

I'm not a christain, so i may not best answer your question, anyway i'll try.
If as what the Christian have truely believe in there's a 'god', he can only be your guide, and give you the inspiration, so that's the reason why you guys do praying. But he is not 'you', he can't do the work that YOU have to work on it. so please, instead of questioning why the 'god' have took your girlfriend away from you, ask yourself, what could the possible reason that it happened?

God is a jealous God in that he says "have no other God before me".. It appears that your happiness was contingent on how well you could satisfy your girlfriend. In other words, she determined your happiness from day-to-day. This is NOT why God allowed you to be in the relationship..
So when she left, your happiness left too. (This is bad)...
Thing is..God wants to be the center of your happiness..not people. Although, he gives us relationships in order to enhance our lives, he DOES NOT want us to use these relationship as means to define our happiness.
So no God is not picking on you, he is protecting you and he needs for you to get closer to HIM and then AND only then will he send a wonderful women into your life to compliment you in ways that you need...
But remember God must be first,...or else. He loves you more!

... so something goes wrong and you blame God. God is not to be taken for granted, nor is he your whipping boy when you don't get what you want.
You're guessing God put you together and you have no clue that often times we miss the forest for the trees, getting impatient and settle for something handy, then we declare "Oh thank you God!" this is just what I wanted..... when all along.., you missed the one God wanted you to have because you were in lust with someone else.
.. and THEN... blame God? For your own mess ups? The patience of Job, you don't have. Faith in God, you lack. Grow up and see God as your Lord (meaing you surrender to him) instead of looking at God as someone who does your bidding. You come off sounding like some rich spoiled brat.

God does not do bad things to you. He wants us to be happy because he loves us. People however, do do mean, horrible things. God is not to blame.
James 1:13 says: "When under trial, let no one say: "I am being tried by God." For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."
Job 34:10,12 says: "Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, And the Almighty to act unjustly!" "Yes , for a fact, God himself does not act wickedly, And the Almighty himself does not pervert judgment."
So God is not to blame when bad things happen. But when we do have bad things happen to us, we can draw comfort from God by drawing close to him in prayer and doing what's right. He will help us endure any trial and he rewards us when we endure trials because of love for him.(James 1:12; Hebrews 11:6)

Most likely yes hehe.. No, but seriously praying to god to make your girlfriend happy ? Umm maybe you need a reality check. Why not pray to god and ask him/her to make you happy ! Think about yourself first. I know that sounds selfish, but, yes it's selfish.
