Is there really a god? or is it just a myth? all or if not most religions i know teach really the same thing in general ... good morals. like saying "be good, and good things come to you". it kind of reminds me of santa claus which is for kids. Is "god" really just a way to make people get along with each other?

Buddha said that if you believe there is a god, then there is a god, if you believe a stone pillar is a god, then it is a god.

In other words, its all in the mind.

Yes 100 % sure there is a god.

There are things u can't see but can feel. So we accept they exist.
Electricity
Air
Life in a body.

How do u feel a god?
U can't feel him. But u can understand.
This vast universe how did it came to existance? Who is making a seed to shoot out from under the ground? How doest the world turn? Who turned it in the beginning?

All are given limitted knowledge. A child can understand to a cirtain limit. If u ask an Infant about nucleas and chromosomes he will not know. Even if u explain him he won't be able to grasp the quantum theory and bigbang theories. But a scientist or a phyicist can easitly. Because their knowledge differ. Likewise we are in different levels of knowledge. Our exposure to the environment and understanding of existance differ.

So with our tiny knowledge we should not judge there is no god. With small amount of idea doestn't enough to judge big and huge theories.Eg: Einstein formualaes. They were unable to understand him those days. Now with the growth of science it is already understood.

To understand him u can simply think. What happens to u when u sleep? Where does ur life goes? How were u born? How did the first man came to existance(I totally reject the Darwins deceiteful evolution theory)?

What happens after death? How the religions speak about a god? u must search and it will give u the answer. Specially in Islam in the Holy Quran U can find the answers. But do not listen to the words from others who didn't read it. Read it for yourself and u will get the answer.

At last there is a god.

The thing is, whether you believe or not Truth IS.
Somehow, this world and our bodies are kept in a balance sufficient to exist as we do. It may not be the long bearded Santa Claus in the sky on his throne, but there is Something, that which we cannot comprehend.
We cannot know, and it is the Mystery that is Sacred.
The moral code is what not only makes life meaningful, but more enjoyable as well.

"The Bible, The Qur'an and Science"

by Dr. Maurice Bucaille

Translated from French and i just copy it from its backcover

"Back Cover"

In his objective study of the texts, Maurice Bucaille clears' away many preconceived ideas about the Old Testament, the Gospels and the Qur'an. He tries, in this collection of Writings, to separate what belongs to Revelation from what is the product of error or human interpretation. His study sheds new light on the Holy Scriptures. At the end of a gripping account, he places the Believer before a point of cardinal importance: the continuity of a Revelation emanating from the same God, with modes of expression that differ in the course of time. It leads us to meditate upon those factors which, in our day, should spiritually unite rather than divide-Jews, Christians and Muslims.

As a surgeon, Maurice Bucaille has often been in a situation where he was able to examine not only people's bodies, but their souls. This is how he was struck by the existence of Muslim piety and by aspects of Islam which remain unknown to the vast majority of non-Muslims. In his search for explanations which are otherwise difficult to obtain, he learnt Arabic and studied the Qur'an. In it, he was surprised to find statements on natural phenomena whose meaning can only be understood through modern scientific knowledge.

He then turned to the question of the authenticity of the writings that constitute the Holy Scriptures of the monotheistic religions. Finally, in the case of the Bible, he proceeded to a confrontation between these writings and scientific data.

The results of his research into the Judeo-Christian Revelation and the Qur'an are set out in this book.

It's just a concept that was created to explain the unexplainable. The concept was then ceased and organism hundreds of times by those in power to gain more control over the uneducated lower-class. They were given the impression that you had to follow their rules or they would be punished and shamed - where the idea that religion creates morals comes in. This ancient lower-class is the source of most of the population today, and those people were all taught by their ancestors about their loving and peace-promoting God.

Your present feelings in your heart is like the feelings and thinking of a child who you said believe santa claus as god. I understand that you are already matured to think of it and you are no longer a kid to believe what is being falsely told.I suggest then to please read the Bible, Old Testament and New Testament for you to attain knowledge about the existence of God and to know the true teachings of God.

There is a God, it's just that some people can't see the majestic glory of the universe, and that with out a supreme God, there wouldn't be a universe to begin with.

Good luck, but really, try taking a deep look into things, I'm willing to help if you want.

Peace.

We know that God exists because God has made himself evident to all of us (Romans 1). And if the Bible is "true" (as if there were some external standard of truth to which the Bible had to measure up), then there is no higher authority to which we can appeal to establish God's existence.

Put differently, we could not know whether or not God existed unless we had a God's-eye view of things. In other words, we must have God's perspective in order to see things as they truly are. But the Bible is God's perspective. And since the Bible is God's perspective and the Bible presupposes God's existence, God exists.

Yes, God does exist. Being good and religious is not what He has asked of us in order to fellowship with Him.

Religion was invented by man, to control other people with their rules and to try to please their god.

Jesus, is God's way of reaching down to man with His love and Grace.

Acceptance of His Son, Jesus as our Lord and Savior, is what causes love and goodness in us.

Jesus is the free gift from God. God doesn't make us get along with each other or even accept Jesus. We do it because we love Him.

There definitely is God. One God, the only God. He created the heavens and the earth. If you believe that the earth was made by mere chance... There is just no way.
