The Romans are just as gulity, if not more, than the Jews when it comes to the death of Jesus.

So why is it that never once in history were Romans persecuted for it?

a bit of a double standard?

Better yet, why do people say the jews killed jesus when the jews worshipped him, protected him and spread his faith? Christianity wasn't even preached to gentiles until one hundred years until Paul came around. Jesus himself instructs his followers not to preach to the gentiles and at one point refers to them metaphorically as "dogs". Saying the jews killed jesus is like saying "the blacks killed Malcolm X."

Of course it's a double standard.
But prejudice is not logical.
Attacks on Jews did not really start until a few hundred years after Jesus. The earliest Christians would be horrified to see how people have mistreated their Jewish brethren.

The Jews never had a hand in the crucifiction, other than being there. The blame was placed on the Jews as propaganda against Jews perpatrated by the Catholic Church which they have since apologized for,but not loud enough I fear to reach enough ears."Link"

We make better scapegoats. The Romans were like the early Xtians and the Xtians today, they dressed the same, ate the same foods, their religions were similar, etc.

Jews dressed differently, spoke differently, worshiped differently, had different work ethics (resting a whole day was unheard of) and kept themselves apart.

It is easy to blame that which you do not understand. I.E. we make better scapegoats.

They picked on the Jews because they were poor and kind, the Romans were cruel and they had an empire, so no one can attack them. I wished that 5 million Romans should've died instead of 5 million Jews.

Yes, it is a double standard. A LOT of people have hated and do hate the Jews. So, that sucks for them.
