Many people asked us to imagine a world without religion and a lot of people said that such a world would be a better place. Other people said that it would be a lot worse and only few said that it would be the same. I agree with the few ones. But why not imagining a world in which everybody believes in the same god, whoever he/she is and live in harmony? Will it work? Well, not 100%, but do you remember what the Amish people did when one of them was murdered by one of their own? They forgave him and prayed for his soul. I don't know whether this is the right way or not, but I was positively impressed by their attitude. Do you find that attitude the right one? Do you think that we can understand and forgive without religion? Do you agree with me when I say that a world with only one religion can be as good as one with no religion at all?
P.S. I am not Amish and I do not try to make you believe in my god because, anyway, you don't know whom/what I believe in. Extremists, don't answer!

To all the people who believe that a world without religion would be a better place: when a man kills another man over money/ the same woman/ power or because he just feel the need to kill or when people die in car accidents because other people are careless/ drive too fast/ are born morons, what does religion have to do with this? Do you really think that eliminating the religion will suddenly stop car accidents from happening?!

After reading many of the answers to my question I came to the conclusion that the majority of the people who answer questions in this section are of two kinds:1) believers who have a lot of faith, but not too much knowledge and too little culture and 2) atheists who have little knowledge and almost no culture. There is only one thing that they have in common: they all believe that they hold the truth and they all try to impose it to the world. I'm out of here!

Before I leave, I want to say that there's a third category of people: the ones who DON'T UNDERSTAND THE QUESTIONS!!!

"The light one" and "yleehitippn" or whatever your name is, you belong to the category of people who give decent answers. Thank you.

Man, I respect the Amish but that way is not for me. Honestly I'd be screaming vengence. Religious or not.

it would be impossible to set up a world religion. there would still be people like me whom are atheist and don't believe in whatever religion it is that everyone else believes in. and maybe some people would only half believe. it would still create problems. and if religion was wiped out many people might not find purpose in life, or they would put their faith in something else. many humans can't take the blows life deals them, or they want a reason for us being here, and hope that there is something greater than the **** they see everywhere they turn so they look to their god for hope and support and trust and love and for a path which they can walk. some people can find their own way, without the help of some creature they're not even sure is there. to me overly religious people are like the people who claim to have been abducted by aliens. it's just non-sense. thats my simple opinion anyone else who reads this, i am not trying to offend anyone.
and of course you're not amish. the amish don't have computers or the internet.

Sorry, personally I don't find this attitude work.
different people have different mentality, can we say an apple is an orange, though both of them are fruits?

I would say that different religion follower, who are able to have tolerance and understanding one another (though may not agree), make a gracious world.

A world TOTALLY w/o religion ----- That must also mean a world w/o any moral values. Scary!!! I think that scenario would be almost as bad as the situation we have with all the different religions and different sects within those religions.

...if you read "The Book"...you'll see that God never set up "religion"... it was "man"... God gave us a "free-will"... God gave us "10" instructions.... Commandments. In none of those 10 are anything that talks about "religion"... The First Commadments clearly says... "worship The Lord, your God". Man has taken it so far out of contex that "we" now have "religion" in the name of gods... God forbid...

Well I am an Extremist, so I will not share the GOOD News with you, BUT I will say there is only one God and His name is Jesus Christ and one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Amen.

Devils believe there's one God: James 2:19
I wonder which one God, of two, they believe.

Charity, which "never faileth" is notably
above forgiving one another: Colossians 3.
I wonder why charity above doesn't forgive.
Perhaps it's cause charity thinketh no evil.
Aha, no law = no sin = nothing to forgive.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH YOU ALL. AMEN.
