What role does personal responsibility play in Christianity?

2007-02-21 04:41:03 · 17 answers · asked by Anonymous

Did I miss something here? When did freedom of religion go out the wondow? When did we turn into a theocracy? Do we have a state church now? Are they gonna start forcing people to go to church? Because seriously, unless that happens, this isn't a Christian nation. It's a nation dominated by Christians, yes, but it is not a Christian nation.

What do you think?

....drinking urine to cure sickness(in china it is very common). We even have a modern day Jesus walking around with lots of followers in Florida.

How hard do you think it would be to fool biblical people???

Please think broad on this, and try and see it from both viewpoints, ie. those considered violent and those that have been victimized.

My opinion says NO. because people believe what they are told to believe.
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_pet/2/9#9 royal generation

does the terms in this letter to the Ancient church Elders apply to this day? To me it says the people that are alive in "THAT" day are the chosen generation. in my opinion that generation is NOT the same people in this generation. And the Royal priesthood which Jesus Ordained the disciples, and probably sucessively they ordained others, with the priesthood but can anyone truly prove that same ordination exists today?

I am simply implying to those who are saying the bible is contridicting itself, or its just a bunch of BS or it was wrote by man, its full of lies ,and everything else you people want to say. I am simply asking you to check out theeses video's regarding the bible, ufo's, and life. go to: google http://vidoe.google.ca/vidoeplay?docid=74728223022720725604. All i'm doing is trying to help those who are looking for answers about God,The Bible, and life. I'm not asking anyone to believe in anything.
For those who won't check it out, probably are scared or afraid it might make them look like a bunch of liars. Or they might learn something ,they may learn the truth about life itself. Maybe it can also explain why we are here. there are more then one vidoe, but they are worth your time.
If some of you are looking for the truth, then i think this is what you need. Its good for you atheist as well. it may even make re-think your own belief. Since you athesist have no faith anyway

Do we apply The Presumption of Atheism to such world views as Atheism, Agnostocism, or The Theory of Evolution?

In other words, does the human mind doubt Atheism when it first encounters it, and seek proof of the Atheists' world view?

We see facts and evidences for The Theory of Evolution, DNA, Fossils, Carbon Dating,

But do we see any evidences for or against Atheism, or for or against Agnostocism?

This may seem like a play on words, but it is an attempt at a serious question.

most pastor discourage true spiritual growth from strong women of color in the church. why? making you feel worthless like you aren't capable of accomplishing anything. then in the same sense build up weak sisters in the church by constantly stroking there ego's this can't be good thing. once they stop stroking ego's what happens then?

Some people even believe the bible is sufficient authority to prove their priesthood. but i have been taught that being called is NOT the same thing as being ordained, and if the entire christian world believes there is no priesthood to ordain, what Did Paul Mean by writing the letter to the Hebrews, ch 7?
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/heb/7/heb/7/11#11 Levitical
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/heb/7/heb/7/21#21 two priesthoods

so while i see the existence of two priesthoods I also see that Jesus ordained his disciples
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/john/15/16#16

so people who say they are of Jesus and ordination are Clearly not the same as being ordained.
but then i see the verse that compels the Jewish sons of aaron as having a perpetual priesthood.
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/john/15/16#16

but the verse that gets me all the time is that priesthood must ordained by the layiing of hands Like Aaron was. So if a person doesnt have this! do they have the priesthood?

(non practicing) if I decided to wear a burqa as I agreed with Muslim reasoning on the issue would that be acceptable to Muslims or would that be considered disrespectful to their religion?

Eradicating Islam we can save the world from the dangers of a catastrophe that otherwise is looming over our heads and could cause more disaster than the 1st and 2nd World Wars combined. Eradication of Islam means restoring peace among humanity and civility, democracy and prosperity in the Muslim world.

Currently I’m an agnostic with a very high sex drive, and keeping 5 or 6 women on a string is very difficult (They want you to stay over on Saturday night but I have two more dates to get to, sometimes three)

So, I would like more information on your martyr program. How sure are you about the 72 virgins? Technically after I deflower one, and they aren’t a virgin anymore, does that mean she’s removed from the virgin pool and I’m down to 71? Finally, do I get to pick some blonds and redheads in the mix?

Also, I guess while I’m at it, what are the qualifications on the Fundamental Church of Latter Day Saints plural marriage thing. When one of your wives get’s old and ugly, can you like send them to a home? Do you have to be Warren Jeffs to have 80 wives? Finally, what if some of them suck at cooking? What do you do with them? And what’s the best way to run your male offspring so they don’t start poking their half sisters?

but then when Christians simply want to express their religion(which they have a right to do) the non Christians get all up in arms. Why is that? I hate to remind you non Christians, but even in America today, despite all your attempts to create a secular state, Christians still have rights.
