I am saved by the blood of Christ....this I know for sure. Jesus said that you will know a true believer "by his fruits".....in other words....what they produce while they are here will determine as to whether or not they are truly saved to begin with.

I'm not trying to bash the poor girl but....she continually calls herself born-again.....even prays before performances with her band.

What has happened to this girl?

Would your God want us to go against our instincts and make ourselves miserable to show our gratitude for him forcing life on us?

I asked this question a while ago...

Many of you believe that those who do not accept Christ will spend eternity suffering in the fires of hell. You also believe that if you accept Christ you will spend eternity in heaven because He paid the price for your sins. Does that mean that Christ will spend eternity in hell suffering for your sins or does God play favorites?

God is a fair judge and is not a respecter of persons.

Please explain to me how He can punish unrepentent sinners to eternal torment and yet have a different punishment for His own Son who paid the same price for repentent sinners?

by the way...I am a Christian...thanks,

Just imagine that there are a large group of muslim women all wrapped up in those outfits where only the eyes can be seen (sometimes this is partly covered too). Isn't that a form of objectification? I mean, no personality can be seen through those robes, no emotion, no individuality. In a crowd you'd be just another muslim women, someone wife but not an individual, just a shrouded silhouette of a person, no characteristics. It's like a uniform. Why not throw off your veils and taste the sweet air of freedom?

For example: the rise of capitalism, rise of the scientific method and critical thinking, abolition of slavery, eradication of Nazism, women's suffrage, civil rights of African Americans after the abolition of slavery.

And why does the church dishonestly claim leadership in these reforms after the fact?

If we're supposed to take the Bible literally, and all the stories in there are true, then why don't things like that happen today? If at one time, God was constantly talking to people, telling them to build big boats because he was going to send a huge flood, parting seas, turning people into pillars of salt, destroying entire cities because of disobedience, etc., then why has He stopped?

Now, I'm not asking this to disrespect anyone's beliefs; please don't take it that way. I'm just looking for what people have to say.

Some one once asked about Carbon Dating, and also, if Adam and Eve tap-danced with the dinosaurs. My answer to the last question was that for the creationists’, god created the earth as it is with all of the fossils for us to find and ponder over. Some one said that was really stupid. If you are a fanatic like Bishop Butler who determined that the world was created 4004 years ago, on Tue, Dec 8, at 7:30am, then it isn’t stupid, but he was. My question for the creationists, did god make physics an intermittent concept or was it to work only when he petulantly decided that it would. Carbon Dating as well as many other paleo-forensic techniques date the earth and its inhabitants as billions of years old. Does physics not work when scientists are trying to determine anything associated with the creationist/evolutionist concepts, but suddenly physics works for all other aspects of the universe? Or is it one of those miracle things that we are not to understand as mortals?

I am a Christ follower "Christian" as my church puts it, and my boyfriend is Roman Catholic. I before never like or agreed with Catholics. Why does he get so aggitated with me when I lay his cross necklace upside down, or something gets set on top of his bible (that he never opens & reads). He gets so defensive if I make a comment, I don't understand why they follow these "rules" instead of just being about GOD & JESUS CHRIST. God doesn't care about the metal around your neck, or the book on your shelf, he cares about your salvation with his son Jesus Christ. I don't feel that he has his salvation or understands what I mean. He says he believes in God & Jesus but yet he prays to saints. Isn't there a 10 Commandment about doing that?

I know the 2nd commandment is all about that.

Only GOD can answer your prayers.

According to Islam: America is the "great satan." Anyone that does not accept the Islamic faith is an infidel. According to Islam all infidels must be "killed." Are the "extemists" operating out of a different book or are there scriptures in the quran that teach against homocide bombings in the name of Allah. Zionism seems to be the greatest concern of Imams. They boldly state that they support someone who would kill innocent women and children and somehow justify it by misquoting histories mass killings. As if to say "they killed millions, we are only killing thousands to make our point." Eye for an eye kind of stuff? It is not even ok to think about killing one person to make a point. Christian extremists pick out of the Bible what they want to believe and ignore the rest. Would it be suffice to say that Muslim extremists are doing the same? If so, what are the scriptures that would override what the homocide bombers believe?
