when praying do you ever find that if i amy put it this way you are so spirutally high and almost in a trance and psiriual world that you almost lose complete control of yourself and your surroundings because you are praying so hard and so spirtually filled. how do you get you wind your self up into this spirtual state and how does this feel
after praying how easy do you find it to come back down to earth and act normal again.

the old monks would work hard to a state of physical exhaustion, until they would fall down then pray some Pentecostals believe in rapture, that they will be transported to heaven instantly, leaving their clothes on the floor, but this only for rich people, not poor people, if not why do they lock the church doors

I only get deep in the Spirit when I am in my home, during personal prayer time (and it is incredible). When I am in church I am conscious of others and often wish others would do the same... I have been knocked in the head and had my feet literally stomped on. Had people fall out in the Spirit that weighed 3 times as much as me and fell on top of me. If they are so deep in the Spirit, you'd think they'd hear from the Holy Spirit who is a perfect gentleman, to watch out for other people and not injure them. (It can also make you wonder if they are truly spending as much time in prayer and worship at home as many claim)..Which is why we have started worshipping at home more.

When you humble yourself in God's sight, He will lift you up. Sometimes it may take days to come down.You can still act normal despite the afterglow.

This is why I am in a Baptist church now.....
Too much junk in the Pentecostal church.....abuse of the gifts....speaking in tongues.......
No need for all of that stuff when you worship God.

I was raised a pentecostal PK...(preachers Kid)
and for that reason, I am now agnostic.
