Some countries eat both cats and/or dog. I'm not sure that it is strictly illegal to do so in America, but probably you can't serve them with out disclosing it.

Poor little animals. Why would you kill a kitty that barely has any flesh.

because they carry diseases, just do it, noone can stop you if your in your room and noone can see you, but God can, and he will probably punish you later for doing that, so do it and sees what happens, then report back to me and you just tell me what happened, ok, ok ;o)
