I'm just curious if there is any pattern in people's choice of religion & American polictical beliefs.

Can you please answer w/ what you believe in [specific denomination, if you are Christian] & which polictical party you side with ?

For example, I'm Christian [Methodist] & liberal/Democratic.

Explain why you choose your beliefs if you feel like it.

K, thanks!

I am looking for possible uses for Stonehenge rather than why it was built. So far the only reasons I have found are that it was possibly an astrological calender for the winter and summer solstice, and that is was possibly a meeting place for rituals pertaining to fertility. I am merely curious as to others perspectives on this architectual wonder and as to what other possible uses there are.

I love God and Jesus and believe that I am being guided by God in my daily life. However, many of my family members and some acquaintances keep telling me that I "need to go to church". Frankly, I have had it with specific religions or churches. To much nonsense not even suggested by God or Jesus. Do any other believers out there feel as I do? I am beginning to feel guilty because I sometimes wonder if I am just being stubborn and want everything my way. Help please.

Generally, if I see a red hat, I don't really expect much depth to the question or answer. Sorry, but that's the truth.

Why wouldn't the son of god be straightforward about something of such importance?

By the following scriptures we see that 1.) without God's spirit, the things of God cannot be understood, meaning atheists can't understand our points, and 2.) that God is revealing Himself to them already and the ball is in their court. We should testify, this is certain, but should we argue "on their turf?

1 Cor 2 12-14 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. ...we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Man appears to be able to justify what he wants to achieve by linking it to "God's" desire. But, the only rules of conduct we, Judaeo-messianic believers were given are etched on two stone tablets that are located in a chest(an ark, if you will) under the Dome of the rock in Jerusalem. So, why is there so much "guilt" associated with "breaking" man-made constructs called "laws?" Do we, man, need to embelish on what God has already defined?

Atheists what if it were proven that there was a God? (I know, I know, won't happen--but work with me here)

Would either of you regret your beliefs? Or would you still follow despite the proof being 100% accurate?

**This is just a fun question, I'm not trying to make anyone angry here. :)

Do you respect what Christianity tells us to do, not the actual actions that people do. Do you basically respect what Jesus told us to do.
