By the following scriptures we see that 1.) without God's spirit, the things of God cannot be understood, meaning atheists can't understand our points, and 2.) that God is revealing Himself to them already and the ball is in their court. We should testify, this is certain, but should we argue "on their turf?
1 Cor 2 12-14 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. ...we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
