Someone here doesn't know the difference between a theory and a hypothesis, and it isn't me.

I wouldn't say I'm an atheist-more a non-believer...I don't believe the evolution theory completely, but evolution has more to back it up than a God who gets others to write a bunch of contradictory books about himself does.
Mostly, when you consider it, if God made everything, then surely, single males would reproduce by themselves :-). Just a theory-like that whole Xianity disillusion.

the evolution 'theory' has been and is still being tested. YOU formulate an experiment to prove that 'god' exists. you can't. that would be like trying to reason with a toddler. it doesn't and never will work out. we actually have experiments for OUR theories. until you find some scientific way of proving that there's some old as dirt guy in a robe who lives in the sky controlling everything that happens on earth, 'god' is just an idea.

Charles Darwin went to college and graduated from a Seminary!! He wasn't a scientist. He plagarized his grandfathers book and when it came out in the mid 1800's, it sold like hot cakes because evolution teaches that one type of people were better than another, thus, slavery was justified!!! Both evolutionists and creationists believe that the universe had a starting point and that there was nothing before that!! Evolutionists believe that nothing blew up and here we are!!! How is it possible to get life from something that is dead? Life does not come from death unless you are the Supreme Creator of everything. Reason this out.

I don't think I'm in either of this dichotomy but I guess the answer to the question is that they are both theories...each theory has it's own evidence (some more concrete and observable than others).

I tire of answering questions like this.
Quite simply, God has shown us nothing and yet science has shown us so much.
There are too many contradictions about God's plan, His omnipotence and omniscience etc. All the claims made about God are incompatible with each other.
Where is your proof that we are designed? It's only a matter of opinion. I believe in the slow gradual natural selection process. Doesn't it make sense to you that weaker animals die out while stronger ones survive, which eventually leads to the diversity and perfection we see today?
God is the easy, lazy way to explain things.

Hello,
I am a Christian and I believe in CREATION by our FATHER. I do not believe that any non-believer should have to accept this just because they know that evolution is a theory. They are certainly welcome to have their own belief and share it if they want to. As long as they don't force feed me or anyone that doesn't want it. Who should care? This world needs some variety. Keep cool and have a great evening.
Thanks,
Eds

evolution is a theory.
a theory in science does not mean 'a wild guess' like it does in popular speach.a theorie is ACTUALLY A PROVEN HYPOTHESIS.
and god is not a hypothesis. a hypothesis is a guess made on the basis of previous readings.
and in general, in science we do not accept hypothesi unless they have been proven.

I take a mix of both. God is ther eternal energy of the universe in which all life is made of. God did not create the universe...there is no need 4 s creator since time is an illusion. I think all life is really one and the same energy.

You answered your own question.
In science, a theory is a mathematical description, a logical explanation, a verified hypothesis, or a proven model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation.
