There are some basic human truths professed by most religions, treat others as you would want to be treated etc. But there are some real differences in belief structure. Many religions don't have a prophet or prophets. Most lack a concept of sin or a need for salvation. The relationship between believers and their gods/goddesses is very different for different religions. Judaism, Christianity and Islam share a lot of beliefs and ideas but the rest of the world's religions are very different. Buddhism lacks a god at all. Some religions do not have a story or think it is important to know the beginning. Some religions don't care for the afterlife or care very little emphasizing living a good life now and letting tomorrow take care of itself.
Scholars call religion a world view because it greatly changes that way someone views the world. Christians tend to believe all people believe in sin and salvation and are looking for it elsewhere when, in fact, they are not looking at all.

Well, when you study religions such as Christianity and Buddhism and see that one religion believes in a God and the other is fundamentally Atheistic, it becomes clear that there are very significant differences between religions.

Christians are the only ones who believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God...He is the only Savior, He died on the cross for our sins, He rose again on the third day so all who believed in Him would have eternal life with the Father. Those who believe will reign with Him forever...
No other people of faith have the same beliefs..are these fundamental enough? be blessed~~~

The fundamental difference comes down to Jesus Christ... what you believe about him makes all the difference. Jesus is more than a prophet and more than a mere man. He is "God with us" (Immanuel) and the only one who raised himself from the dead. No other "prophet" of any faith or sect can make that claim.

All over the world, every country, teach that lying, stealing, rape, cheating, sex with someone else spouse, is wrong. Every people want you to respect those rules no matter where you go, ever people expect you to interact with them according to the Ten Commandments!
Have you ever heard or know of any people that do not want to be treated according to the descriptions of to LOVE!
Most of us born into Christian families believe in Jesus Christ, if we do not believe in Jesus Christ then we do not accept the precepts of the Christen faith that has nothing to do with the way we want people to treat us!
Those born in a different land, usually accepts the faith of that land unless it violates the way people want to be treated!
People born in America speak English, in Germany - German. Sweden - Swedish. We all think, look and act differently! Nature made Humans that way! The universal things that all have in common, without exception, is the way we want to be treated by others, and only a male and a female, acting together, can bring forth new life!
If there is another truth, please tell me! If there is any person, peoples that do not want to be treated according to the Ten Commandments, please inform me!
In al of my 40 years of wondering the different countries, I never met a people that preached violation of the Ten Commandments as the way they wanted to be treated!

the only "suitable" distinction could be to look at definition of the words. faith: a particular needed set of ideals and practices in many cases agreed upon by potential of various persons or sects Spirituality: the widely used or actuality of being religious. Which incredibly is going with my very own own thoughts on the ameliorations. Spirituality are a sequence of ideals somebody lives by potential of. faith components prepared worship and works alongside with spirituality. i in my opinion do no longer see faith as undesirable. faith itself will no longer be able to be undesirable, it fairly is the adherents that make it undesirable. neither is a few thing undesirable in simple terms through fact it does not artwork for me, absolutely everyone desires some thing diverse.

Jesus Christ is the difference. All spiritual leaders/ philosophers searched for truth , but Jesus claimed to be the truth (John 14:6) and supported it with miracles, most notably, the resurrection! Other teachers asked their followers to follow their teachings, but Jesus tells his followers to follow HIM.
