Well, that's where most of the food is grown, so I'll have to go with backbone. Where did everybody think it came from . . . Manhattan, or Berkley perhaps?

Do you mean mid-western America? I live in mid-western America. It is neither. It is simply a large geographic location with many cities and small towns. There are all sorts of people who live within its generalized borders.

This question has nothing to do with religion, contrary to what you may think. Many people in mid-western America are not people of faith or religion.

They just might be both. I am an Atheist who thinks a good portion of Liberals are unable to face evil.

Pacifism against someone like Hitler would assure his victory. A Pacifist is worse then a Nazi because he knows the evil is wrong but he is unwilling to stand against it.

I know i used a more extreme example but the basic principle stands.

In all honesty? the "spine" of the economic equipment is the two. without "company usa," there could be very few jobs paying adequate so you might help yourselves and your imaginative and prescient of "the yankee dream." And, without the working classification, "company usa" could stop to exist. once you think of in terms of wealth which includes that of the tremendous robber barons of the nineteenth and early twentieth century, maximum of usa it form of feels is definitely 'center classification.' My father in-regulation as of 10 years in the past as quickly as we final talked approximately money, became spending (as a retired guy) a whopping $seventy six,000 a month in what he considered as his "uncomplicated residing expenditures." And, whilst I and my relatives of 5 stay in a double extensive trailer think of of ourselves as 'center classification,' he's definitely on the top end of that strata time-venerated as 'center classification.' there's a extensive schism between his existence and mine.
