Religion & Spirituality - 12 February 2007

I know one religion that claims they are the one and only real church.. They said that the founder of their church is none other than Jesus Christ.. for it is said in the Bible that Christ will build his own church. Now they claim it is their religion... do you beleive in such?? they say that all other religions are mistaken and will not be honored in heaven no matter how religious you are.. even though you pray to same God if your religion does not belong to them God wont hear you... they claim.. specially Roman catholic.. they look at all mebers as sinners especially priests for the way of their service to God aint in the Bible..ex. singing with music like drums,piano,guitar.., wearing robes,candles, altars,idols... etc.. what do you think of this... They are the only one who will be saved.. Shall I be nervous on this????? I have to wothhold the name of the church as to protect them.

first kind, the intelligent good people:
they do good things to you so that they can get better reputation, better information, get more help, job opportunities.

second kind, the stupid ones.
they do good things to you because they realize what you feel by substituting your feelings into himself.

but i do not think intelligent people would do good things to other people due to the second reason.

Muslims showed more "outrage" worldwide over the silly cartoon drawings of Muhammad. But no public outrage over the daily acts of Islamic terrorists? Shouldn't you be more "outraged" by the fact that Islamic terrorists are representing your "peaceful" religion?

Does it mean he did not get to go to the Celestial Kingdom?
He was shot after shooting and killing two men.(Yes,self -defense,but even in the footsteps of Jesus,he knew he was to die that day.Why kill two men before you can die by blood atonement as a ceremony if it is what you believe.)I am confused on this issue.Also,Emma did NOT like or believe in polygomy.He was not being a loving husband by doing this painful crime against her will.It makes me sad for her,but also angry.Can we get angry here?

Since, whenever I state something it seems like most of them I may get attacked, so I think it would be better if I have a personal guinea pig to test it on.

Also, I don't want to be ignorant. There is a few people, for example, A hindu explaining christianity. 1st> the person isn't a member of that belief, 2nd> he probably has no complete idea on what that religion is about.

If everyone emulated Christ (not just pretending), then could religion be as bad as people make it out to be?

Before Christianity people managed to mobilize groups to hate and attack other groups. Christianity and other similar religions could be use for the opposite. I dont recall orphanages, alms giving, etc. a central part of Greco-Roman life from my classics courses.

Is robbing a good or an evil act? A normal balanced person would say it is evil. How would a person who does not believe in the hereafter convince a powerful and influential criminal that robbing is evil?

Suppose I am the most powerful and influential criminal in the world. At the same time I am an Intelligent and a logical person. I say that robbing is good because it helps me lead a luxurious life. Thus robbing is good for me.

If anybody can put forward a single logical argument as to why it is evil for me, I will stop immediately.

Prove me wrong, logically.

Don't use any religion stuff like sin and Hell, tell me why is it wrong for me to rob?

I mean heaven is one thing,but going to burn for eternity sounds a bit overboard for anybody,don't you think???...I would like to see my parents again one day in heaven,but I don't think it will be so and that is why I must be content with my one awesome life...Thanks for your answer
