There is only one Church founded by Jesus Christ and that happens to be the Catholic Church. Any Church that says theirs is the one founded by Christ is lying. Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church.
It is the only church that can claim a direct line of succession from Jesus to St. Peter up to the present pope.
Matthew 16,18-20
"And so I tell you, Peter; you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven; what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven."
The Catholic Church WILL LAST TILL THE END OF THE AGE.
Matthew 28,20
"And teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
Christ promised to GUIDE this Church till the end of the age.
John 14,16
I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, WHO WILL STAY WITH YOU FOREVER."
John 14,25
I have told you this while I am still with you, The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everyhthing and make you remember all that I have told you."
John 16,13
"When, however, the Spirit comes who reveals the truth about God, he will LEAD YOU INTO ALL TRUTH."
The Catholic Church has the authority from God to teach with INFALLIBLE CERTITUDE.
Matthew 18,18
"And so I tell you; what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven."
Luke 10,16
Speaking to his disciples, Jesus said: "Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."
The Catholic Church is the CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD AND THE PILLAR AND FOUNDATION OF TRUTH.
Timothy 3,15
"But if I delay, this letter will let you know how we should conduct ourselves in God's household, which is the Church of the Living God, the pillar and foundation of truth."
I hope I have made things a little bit clearer for you. If you want me to answer other questions give me your email. I will pray that God will always be with you and help you make the right decisions according to his will.
May the good Lord bless you and keep you!

There is only one church according to the Bible. Ephesians 4:4-6 says "There is... one body..." The "body" is defined as "the church" (Ephesians 1:22-23).

Since the body is the church, and there is only one body, then there is only one church.

The previous answer says that one church is the Catholic church. I must respectfully disagree!

The Catholic church no longer teaches the same things on many subjects as the early church did. Since they have a different doctrine, they are no longer the same church. We should search the scriptures to see if things taught are true (Acts 17:11). If you do this, you should be able to see if a church is the same as the one Jesus built.

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein." (Hebrews 13:8-9) Jesus never changes, therefore, our doctrine should not change.

Search the scriptures! The true church will not mind if they are compared to the Bible, in fact, they should encourage it!

May I suggest the attached web-site where you can watch 5 video lessons that teach about the church Christ built. These lessons are from a DVD called "Searching for Truth".

Some of the things they have told you are true but not all. The true Church is the one that follows the Bible; That much is true. But no where in the Bible does it say that you cannot sing and praise God. The fact that you are feeling nervous shows that you are a bit weak. Read the Bible and you will see the true way. Many things will make sense and when others tell you things like what you described you will no longer be nervous because you will know right from wrong. That's when you are strong. God Bless you.

"Messianic Judaism" is a blend of Christianity and Judaism. especially circumstances it type of feels more beneficial like Christianity and especially circumstances it type of feels more beneficial like Judaism. some are a minimum of quite Torah observant many on the instantaneous are not any further. some reject many Christian teachings as being pagan and some have in trouble-free terms taken Christianity and thrown in some Hebrew words. some worship Jesus, some do no longer. some believe Jesus is G-d, some do no longer. some believe in a trinity, some do no longer. some were born Jewish yet optimal weren't. Many though declare to be Christians yet some insist they don't look. there are dissimilar that declare to be "Messianic Jews" who do no longer look to savour the way diverse "Messianic Judaism" fairly is and its glaring that few outside of the bypass do. therefore of type of beliefs that is confusing back up with rationalization that wisely covers the carried out crew. Edit: I forgot touching on to the Karaite beliefs that in many circumstances get jumbled mutually. i'm conscious of congregations that are decrease up over precisely at the same time as the bright days are. some keep on with the Hillel calendar, some keep on with the Karaite calendar, and apparently some create there very personal calendar. I actually have quite met individual who identifies herself as a "Karaite Christian."

Any church that uses fear and intolerance in this way, you should be nervous about. When did Jesus forbid drums, piano, guitars, wearing robes, & candles anyway?

My deffination of "Church" is:
A body of belivers joined together to worship.
With all beliefes comes a given label called religion and that's where God get's streached out of shape to fit the "needs" of the "church".
