Qadian is more of a town than a city - it is located in Gurdaspur and its primary claim to fame is that it is the birth place of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed, the founder of the Ahmediya Movement ( a religion that claims being a branch of Islam though declared a seperate religion in most Muslim countries).
Mirza Ghulam claimed to be the second coming of Christ and his adherents believe that Jesus is buried in Kashmir. Mirza Ghulam died of diarrhea in 1908 in Lahore.
Cheers.
