It's a way of scaring people into a religion.

First, I believe in two things: an invisible god and the devil. If God lives in heaven, then the devil's hell must be a heaven too but for all the damned souls. Imagine, souls roasting in hell's kitchen... what a gruesome picture.

If you died as a sinner, then it's better to stay in purgatory.

theres no way of telling what happens after someone dies. there are people who need to be punished for their sins. take for example Hitler. but i do think that if there is a reward and penalty system for after death, the people who go to hell only live out a sentance. i believe that anyone can and eventually will go to heaven if it does exist.

Hell is mans common grave. Nothing more. Don't give up hope of seeing your parents again. Right know they are just sleeping in their graves waiting for the day of Jesus return.

many have asked about hell and heaven.... so here's a copy of a previous answer I did .. :)
--------------------------------------

we don't go anywhere after we die.. There's no hell.. nor people go to heaven... I used to believe in it, but man was I fooled...

First of all, nothing happens after we die.:
* Psalm 146:4 says: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his
ground; in that day his thoughts do perish."
* When pronouncing sentence upon Adam, Jehovah stated: "Dust you are and to dust you will return." (Genesis 3:19) Where was Adam before God formed him from the dust of the ground and gave him life? Why, he simply did not exist! When he died, Adam returned to that state of complete absence of life.
* Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, says: "The dead know nothing . . . In the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."
so.. if we have NO THOUGHTS, there's NO working, planning, knowledge nor wisdom... basically you don't exist! how is it possible that you are aware that you are suffering in so called hell?
Also the Scriptures also state: "The wages sin pays is death." (Romans 6:23) So..Since the punishment for sin is death.. why should we remain being punished after death if he clearly states that after we die we basically will be free of sin??

Hell's actual meaning is grave not a place of torture or fire:
*Consider Job.. a righteous man Wishing to escape his plight, he pleaded: "Who will grant me this, that thou mayest protect me in hell [Sheol], and hide me till thy wrath pass?" (Job 14:13) How unreasonable to think that Job desired to go to a fiery-hot place for protection! To Job, "hell" was simply the grave, where his suffering would end.

Finally, the bible states that only 144,000 people will enter heaven.. that's quite alarming as that's a very very low amount!
World Population today is 6,499,697,060..and that's just today! What about all the years back and those that died??
Well, these 144,000 that go to heaven are ONLY for chosen ones that will rule with Christ (Revelation 14:1, 3; 20:4-6; Luke 12:32)... and not just for all the people that were good.

For the rest of us.. Bible does promise us to live forever on earth.. so that would be our real final destination after death.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5; John 11:11-13, 25; Acts 24:15; Revelation 21:1-4)
"The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."—Psalm 37:29
Plus it was His main purpose from the start.. for us to live on earth.. why change it?

For those that actually read all of this, sorry for this huge explanation..lol.. I just have the need to show people the truth of this.. too many people worry about it! :-)
