hint: its been said that the thing that makes an object unique is the same thing that defines it. such as a Vessel is is a vessel because it holds something in it. if you put a hole at the bottom it would no longer be a vessel.

have taken actions they would rather not take.......

Why do Muslim anti-semites continually attack Israel, and make NO effort to address their own evils in israel, and around the world?

I Have yet to see a SINGLE Muslim acknowledge on this site, or anywhere else, that their actions are also appaling in many areas....not just Israel.

Am I glad that Muslim kids are shot? No. Am I glad that a crazed Jew killed 20 Arabs at the wailing wall? No. Am I glad that we dropped cluster bombs in Lebanon? I think it was a mistake.

I'd like to see Islam acknowledge its NUMEROUS mistakes, instead of just demonizing us.

P.S.....Israel doesn't publicly wish for a return of the crusades in their public media...what does your public media do?

The second book of Kings 6
28The king said to her, What ails you? She answered, This woman said to me, Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.
29So we boiled my son, and ate him: and I said to her on the next day, Give your son, that we may eat him; and she has hid her son.

Deut 28
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee.

57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates

What's the purpose in mentioning Guys eating thier children???

Let's say in 200 years one of it's many threats annihilates Earth. Then let's say by that time, we are prepared to inhabit another planet. Would you credit fate for giving us the technology, or coincidence?

All the millions of living species on the earth possess miraculous features, unique behavioural patterns and flawless physical structures. Every one of these living things has been created with its own unique detail and beauty. Plants, animals, and man above all, were all created with great knowledge and art, from their external appearances down to their cells, invisible to the naked eye. Today there are a great many branches of science, and tens of thousands of scientists working in those branches, that research every detail of those living things, uncover the miraculous aspects of those details and try to provide an answer to the question of how they came into being.

When I was young, my pops would take me to work with him. He would have me look for little Leprechauns in between offices, under desks, in closets, etc. In hindsight, I am sure he did this to keep me out of his face, and used the all to common "Leprechaun babysitter" technique to achieve this. <---LOL Kind of like the electronic babysitter syndrome....It worked, I stayed busy for hours at a very young age..I really believed I'd find them...

Unless your pops had you looking for Leprechauns to...then maybe it is common. What say you?

Achievers say this or losers? Why then people change their names or have more names? Sometimes name change is made for numerological reasons? Does not the question "What is in the name" oppose all these hypothesis?

Ok, well this has been an ongoing thing, Christians and Atheists arguing and fighting in the Religion and Spirituality section. I want to set the record straight as far as I see it.
Any genuine Christian who is trying to convince an Athiest of his beliefs, feels sorry for people who do not believe in a higher power or morals and values, and also feel that they have a ticket to salvation and want the Athiest to have something to believe in. This is another thing that confuses me, why would Atheists defend a belief in nothing so strongly as if it was its own religion? And Atheists, do you not agree that even if you dont believe in the bible that the ten commandments and the morals in the bible are good rules to live by? Also, i have noticed many atheists saying things like "why would i believe a fictional book written by goat herders" first of all, very few people could write back when it was written, only the intellectual elite could write in ancient times..

just wondering...

2007-02-12 15:09:08 · 14 answers · asked by Anonymous

The number one compliant of Atheists against Christians is that they shove their beliefs in their face. However, Christianity is a religion that requires its followers to evangelize. So there is going to be an effort on Christians' part to enter into dialogue with those of other religions. I understand that Chrisitians will try to convert me as a part of living in a pluralistic society. However, I have had experiences that are real turn offs.
I think if would be good for Christians to hear from those outside of their religion how you feel when others share their faith with you. Is it ever ok? How do you expect those sharing their faith to treat you? What is not ok? What would make you consider their faith, and what would turn you off.
Christians, how would you like to be treated when others share their faith with you? What’s ok, and what’s not. What would make you consider their faith, and what would turn you off?
Please note your religion in your answer.

some say, three, so it's like a triangle. so if the trinity was four, so it's like a square? so if it was 5 in one, so it's like the shape of diamond.

Abraham = God is only one
Issac = God is only one
David = God is only one
Solomon = GOd is only one
Moses = God is only one
christians = trinity !?

and all the 1st commandment told you to believe is:
YOU SHALL NO TAKE OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.

Inspired by the common question "What would it take for you to believe in God", I ask what it would take for a non-atheist to accept that there is no God.

Please answer insightfully. "Nothing" might be your gut response, but at least give it a little more of a try. We all know that people on both sides of this argument could answer "That would never happen because..." At least please be creative.

Thanks.
