Every Extra Sensory Perception is real. The dilemma is that they are rare Gifts from Spirit given to a very scarce number of incarnates and a group of thousands, if not millions, of combined souls from the Other Side is required and, obviously, not everyone on TV, magazine ads, 900 numbers and such are authentic.

Then how could one chose the right psychic?

That could be tough to do without a referral or recommendation but do not venture yourself to call a profit-motivated psychic hotline. Respected articles on this, relying testimonies of individuals who worked on these schemes, say that they hire anyone from the street who can talk nice and work some cold/warm/hot readings on gullible clients.

If you should see a psychic, perhaps while walking down the street, be sure to run in the other direction very quickly.

I don't think so. I think you should ask God or someone close to him because he knows everything about you and he knows just what you need and I psychic wouldn't know these things. Ask him for help and he will help you.

No. Psychic's are posers to saying they have "powers" which they don't. Going to see a psychic is pathetic.

Sure. Just temper what s/he says with your own common sense, intelligence, and ethics.

Even the psychic is nothing more than a shrewd observer of human behavior, they may still give you things to think about.
