Looks like our public awareness campaign to expose the religious right’s recently released video game, Left Behind: Eternal Forces, was a success.
You’ll remember that our efforts garnered a great deal of national media attention:
Front page article in the San Francisco Chronicle;
Stories on CNN’s American Morning, ABC World News, and Canadian TV;
A live debate with religious right leader Jay Sekulow on CNBC;
Articles written by the Associated Press, Reuters, Boston Globe, and UPI;
Just to name a few….
Now, not only do media reports coming out of Southern California reveal that the game has received mediocre sales, but a simple look at Left Behind Games Inc (LFBG) stock performance — in the words of DefCon advisory board member and Christian Alliance for Progress director Rev. Tim Simpson “you didn’t think this was a ministry, did you?” — reveals over an 80% drop in the stock’s price since the game was released in November.
