I fell in love with a man who lied to me, took advantage of me for my money. I could keep going but this is not the point. He moved very far away. He is an angry man but I know in his heart that he really cared for me but unfortunately he doesn't know how to love back without hurting someone. This was 7 months ago and I was angry, hurt because of all that I did for him and this was how he paid me back by firing off an email saying I was "mean-spirited." I can't let go of these feelings of betrayal. I saw a speaker yesterday that stated that a person in order to get past this hurt is forgive and if all possible ask that person for forgiveness of any past wrongs. Since I have not been able to get over this hurt and bitterness, I emailed him and told him I was sorry for any pain I caused him and told him how important it was that he have a peaceful life. Why can't I get over the fact that I was wrong in doing this? Anyone out there who can help me tell me I did the right thing?

wouldn't you have better things to do than worry about the comings and goings of your creation? Is god like a possessive boyfriend or girlfriend? Just a breakup away from keying your car and threatening your boss?

Looks like our public awareness campaign to expose the religious right’s recently released video game, Left Behind: Eternal Forces, was a success.

You’ll remember that our efforts garnered a great deal of national media attention:

Front page article in the San Francisco Chronicle;
Stories on CNN’s American Morning, ABC World News, and Canadian TV;
A live debate with religious right leader Jay Sekulow on CNBC;
Articles written by the Associated Press, Reuters, Boston Globe, and UPI;
Just to name a few….

Now, not only do media reports coming out of Southern California reveal that the game has received mediocre sales, but a simple look at Left Behind Games Inc (LFBG) stock performance — in the words of DefCon advisory board member and Christian Alliance for Progress director Rev. Tim Simpson “you didn’t think this was a ministry, did you?” — reveals over an 80% drop in the stock’s price since the game was released in November.

Some friends and I were discussing reincarnation and the escape from Samsara. Is there any (karmic) benefit to not having children? It seems like it is easier to let go of the material plane if there is no progeny binding you here. Buddhists/Hindus, what is your take on this? Are there any texts that speak to this?

Serious answers only please.

Go to www.fatima.org. Click on Fatima on demand and watch the documentary 'Heaven's key to peace' online. Does world peace really depend on this simple request of Our Lady to consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart?

Ted Haggard Now “Completely Heterosexual”
Phew. Disgraced religious right leader Ted Haggard has officially washed all that gayness off. It’s quite a relief.

Unfortunately for Pastor Ted that’s still not good enough, as his “advisors” are now encouraging him to seek secular work. After all, homosexuality is contagious, isn’t it?

From the Denver Post:

The Rev. Ted Haggard emerged from three weeks of intensive counseling convinced he is “completely heterosexual” and told an oversight board that his sexual contact with men was limited to his accuser.

That is according to one of the disgraced pastor’s overseers, who on Monday revealed new details about where Haggard has been and where he is headed.

The Rev. Tim Ralph of Larkspur also said the four-man oversight board strongly urged Haggard to go into secular work instead of Christian ministry if Haggard and his wife follow through on plans to earn master’s degrees in psychology.

in Leviticus 19:28 says "You may not make cuts in your flesh in respect for the dead, or have marks printed on your bodies: I am the Lord. "

is that means christians would never able to get a tattoo?

Ok here it is there is this huge debate of theology vs science in the US. Why cant you people tell the difference? Why do you think that a country that has been christian waaaay longer than yours (England) just doesnt debate this? Its not in Question here there is no debate, we understand religion and science are separate how come you cant?

Honestly i know I'm gonna get called a troll and a devil worshipper for this but really it never comes up. Its just not an issue, can gay people adopt is an issue sure but christians here are educated you wouldnt get by without it - you cant be a primary school teacher (5 - 11) without understaning this very basic difference.
