How does the last stanza

" Let us labor for the Master from the dawn til setting sun
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care
Then when all of life is over and our work on earth is done
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there"

effect your walk with Jesus?

Humans are capable of so much they no longer need to make up or force themselves to believe the myths that our ancient ancestors used to comfort and control themselves from forces that were out of their control.

I wonder if humanity will ever be able to create a civil society that truly accepts and appreciates itself.

I am an atheist but I've no problem with people believing in god. If it makes them more moral then I'm all for it.

But since most atheists (and I've made it a point to meet many in the last few years) are not just a-theist but ANTI-theist I no longer tell folks I'm am atheist.

So what should I tell folks I am so they give me the benefit of the doubt and allow me the freedom to demonstrate I have the same moral values as they do.

I fell in love with a man who lied to me and found out in the end he took advantage of me for my money. There is a lot more to this story but it is too long but we were involved for 3 years. He ended up moving thousands of miles away and the last communication I had with him was over 7 months ago where he sent me an email telling me I was "mean-spirited." I have harbored a lot of resentment and bitterness and I need to find peace and I can't. I listened to a speaker last night and he said to the group that people who can't find peace maybe have these feelings because of not making this right. I thought that this would find me peace so I emailed him and asked him to forgive me for any pain I caused during our relationship and how I wanted him to have peace and told him the best of luck. Now I should feel some closure and good feelings so why do I think I shouldn't have? Did I do the right thing in telling him this? Will I get the peace I so desperately need?

Ive been reading the answers to many questions in the spirituality section. I have one question. Why do you atheist bother coming into this section and answer the religious questions...Is it because you are so insecure and have this need to stir things up----'Choose Life you fools"

People are people, all with faults, Why glorify a religion when you know nothing about it's people ?? Criticize Christians because of a few bad ones ? Don't you think you'll find the same elsewhere ?

Nazis were deeply motivated by patriotism after their failure in WWI. Just like the Communists, they killed whoever they wanted. Why else would the Nazis aid the Muslims?

For my homework, I've been asked to develop a visual summary explaining the different roles in the early Christian community:

- Elders/Presbyters
- Bishop
- Apostles
- Deacons
- Prophets/Teachers
- Women

Can someone please explain how I'm meant to answer this question.

Whatever you want to call it, for those who went to services, Christian, Muslim, catholic, Jewish, Protestant, Mormon. Whatever?

What did they say or do that finally was so over the top that you said the hell with this. I'm going to take responsibility for myself and good riddance to your stained glass window and Bronze Age superstitions.

I've been searching for myself through religion, and haven't found my place yet. So I'm looking for ideas on religions. This doesn't mean I will pick one, I just want some ideas to research. AS THE QUESTION STATES, non-christian is important. I'm not christian, and won't be. This isn't intollerence or ignorance, i went to a catholic school for 10 years of my life, so I know more about jesus and the Bible than most people could ever care to know. Which is why I won't be any for of Christian. So if you're going to preach, don't bother, it will fall on deaf ears.

Hey, some just made me LOL. She is complaining that there's someone using her name - I guess with a very small difference between their names.

Has anyone's name been stolen? Are you the legit owner or just some wallaby, koallabe wannabe???
