Why do atheists like to oversimplify the Nazis regime but not Stalin or Pol Pot?

Nazis were deeply motivated by patriotism after their failure in WWI. Just like the Communists, they killed whoever they wanted. Why else would the Nazis aid the Muslims?

So did the Allies during the war, and after. So did Stalin after the war.
America is still aiding the muslims. Whats your point???

Are you joking? I hate the nazis and the communists, both are conformist groups and are way too radical to have any sort of long lasting success. The communists also aided some Muslims, but don't forget, so did the USA, turns out both we and the Soviets gave aid to people we now worry about blowing us up.

I readily admit there have been some atheists that were horrible. I wont defend Stalin or Pol Pot. I will say that I think Karl Marx was a thinking person that wanted equality for the masses. Its unfortunate that his work was ruined by corrupt rulers.

i dont' see what in the world this has to do with atheists and i have never heard anyone ever give an opinion as an atheist.

that being said, i have to disagree with your assertion that the nazis were motivated by patriotism after the loss of WWI.

to be sure there were elements in the german society that started to work on re-armament almost immediately after WWI ended (krupp sent engineers off to work in other nations so as to not be hassled by occupying authorities) but that was long before the nazis came to power.

if there were legitimate feelings of patriotism in germany they were abused by the nazis, who made many promises to the german people that they never followed through on...
