I asked several questions about what Athiest held in common and was pretty much told that it was only a lack of belief in God. I'm cool with that as it is whet the word means.

Then in many of the answers people say that Atheist don't readily disclose that they are because those who do are so discriminated against in America. What's up with that? How do you discriminate against a lack of belief? Is it like hey you can't come to my church cause you don't believe? Is that discrimination? If so why would you care?

By the way you can come to my church any time weather you believe or not.

Love ya!

I read an article on Yahoo tonight about a preacher in Anna Nicole Smith's hometown of Mexia...seems the preacher says people of Mexia won't acknowledge her death because of her notoriety...does that self righteous attitude bother anybody else here? Maybe if one of them had shown her how a Christian is supposed to act, her life might have been different...sickens me...they judge her as if they are entirely sinless themselves...throw the stones and hit the deck boys...

What were the services like? They weren't all a bunch of Earth worshiping vegans were they? Was God a central theme?

Of course Jesus life is interesting. I always admired Paul. And David. Since both weren't perfect. They did many things wrong..and some right. Who or what story do you admire.

Okay so I asked in several ways if there were beliefs that Athiest held in common beyond a lack or non acceptance of any belief in God and I was told almost unannomusly that there was not. Then I asked another question and was given quite a list of Atheist organizations and their realted affiliations and most have creeds of belief that suggest otherwise. What's up? Are these just isolated nonprofit lobbies promoting an agenda or is there more to organized Atheism than many of you know, are willing to let on, or do you all just not subscribe to the beliefs of the American Atheists Org.?

Ok so...i need some clearing up here.
For the longest time 666 was the number of evilness. Right? Ok, now i'm hearing that they (don't know who THEY are) read the translation or whatever wrong, and the evil number is really 616.
One...is that true?
and
Two...is there anything else they got wrong?

just curious.
thx in advance.

How can you guys on Y/A bash God the way you do. And bash Christians the way you do? The way I read it, you guys seem to think we are these intolerant people who are constantly judging everyone! Thats not what we do! We are called to love everyone and tell everyone about our wonderful Saviour who died for every single one of us! You say we judge everyone!! We don't. The Bible says that only God is the ultimate judge, because He is the only one who can do anything about the way we act. Jesus died for us because we are sinners. He didnt have to, and that is the greatest love we could ever know. And us Christians are called to show the same love that Jesus showed us. I dont see how people could be so ignorant of the One who created them to be saved. Jesus loves us so much and is waiting for all of us to turn to Him. So basically my question is: how can you be so unbelieving?

Evolution is actually a very proveable theory, and I've done it myself in a AP Bio lab. Bacteria which as you probably know reproduce extremely fast can be killed of with certain anti-biotics. However, after a few generations have passed, the bacteria are no longer effected by the anti-biotics and will live even if the anti-biotic is present. How do creatinists dismiss this solid evidence?
