How can you guys on Y/A bash God the way you do. And bash Christians the way you do? The way I read it, you guys seem to think we are these intolerant people who are constantly judging everyone! Thats not what we do! We are called to love everyone and tell everyone about our wonderful Saviour who died for every single one of us! You say we judge everyone!! We don't. The Bible says that only God is the ultimate judge, because He is the only one who can do anything about the way we act. Jesus died for us because we are sinners. He didnt have to, and that is the greatest love we could ever know. And us Christians are called to show the same love that Jesus showed us. I dont see how people could be so ignorant of the One who created them to be saved. Jesus loves us so much and is waiting for all of us to turn to Him. So basically my question is: how can you be so unbelieving?

Dear J Marie:

I hope this is some comfort to you :

In Spiritual teachings, Earth has been designated as a large classroom. Everyone is taking the Curriculum of their choice.
Graduation is very serious - for it has everything to do with the Return to God. The end of the Great Separation. This campus we attend offers many classes of diverse Thought.

Regarding Graduation: Jesus, who had a special role in human life - to display to us the Nature of God and cause us to remember Him - was the embodiment of God's attributes and he gave to us the Resurrection to demonstrate we are more than physical bodies. God Created spirit-mind, like Himself. What He Created is PART of our "makeup" while in the physical experience, but is the All and everything to God. The Soul is His Beloved Son. It's eternal. Jesus gave the gift of showing us that Truth.

Through the Holy Spirit and Jesus we come to understand that we have an Eternity that awaits us - within the Creator. For He is everywhere - filling all space (the Void). He is the Intimacy we were Created for. The Intimacy of Mind - to be Known by Him and to share His Life with Him : Mind to Mind and Thought to Thought. The Return of each Soul is all the Holy Spirit and Jesus focus upon. Nothing else. But, we can not Return until we are again purified enough to be in His Presence. And so we learn what is needed to be learned in this great school, but at different paces and taking different classes. Sometimes, with different teachers.

For the ones who deny their souls and know not any remembrance of their Creator, it will take longer to Graduate than others. BUT, the most wonderous thing of all, is that decisions have been made in our souls, with the Holy Spirit ! Each of us has spoken of that Return, in our soul's communion with the Holy Spirit. One by one - and at different times - we become aware of all we do not know. The spirit-mind or soul within ". . .determines when, and has determined it. . .when it [would be] willing to be released to revelation and eternity." This is intensely personal, between the Holy Spirit and our holy Self.

For those who deny so much today, remember that they, too, have set the point of eternity when they will be willing to take the right classes, follow the Curriculum that will lead them Homeward Bound. Until the proper timing for each one of us, it "appears" we are all taking different classes. But eventually, we all make it through the classes we need to "major" in and Graduate. For the ones more involved, presently, in Science classes ; for the ones, presently, taking debate classes - they shall all Graduate with honors in the future. God waits quietly for the Reunion. Jesus and the Holy Spirit Teach, Guide and Comfort with ceaseless attendance upon us. Some have awarenesses of this activity. Others, do not. Yet it continues. . .

There is a One-ness to the sons of God. It will never be allowed to be put asunder. Trust in this. We will all go home, together.

Best regards, Lana

You're asking two different things. Do you want to know why Christians get bashed here, or why we don't believe?

Christians kind of have a negative reputation here because so many of them DON'T do what you said: "show the same love that Jesus showed". Bashing gays, talking down to atheists, having fun telling people they're going to hell: These aren't the actions of someone trying to act like Christ. I'm not saying you do any of those things, and certainly there are some Christians here who are great people and would never do any of them. But many Christians do. When people say they have a problem with Bible-believers, they're talking about the people who do the things I've mentioned.

How can we "be so unbelieving"? Because Christianity is just one religion out of many religions, all claiming to be the right one. Why Christianity and not Islam? Why Christianity and not Buddhism? Why Yahweh and not Brahma, or Zeus, or Allah, or Thor? What evidence do you have that YOUR religion is the correct one? If you have that kind of evidence, then by all means show it. But personally, I don't think it exists. And that's why I and many other people are nonreligious.

Sorry, but are you new here? The questions from Christians here come in five general varieties:

1. Thinly veiled, snarky proselytizing ("Don't evolutionists know that they will burn in the fires of Hell?")

2. Questions asked as if all the answerers are Christian ("What was your last prayer to Jesus?")

3. Attacks on other faiths and atheism, and gross generalizations ("Why do Pagans worship Satan?")

4. Pretended knowledge - calling something the truth when you can't provide non-Biblical proof ("Why won't you accept the reality of Jesus Christ?")

5. Attempts to suggest that Christians are being persecuted or discriminated against ("Why is no longer okay to say 'Merry Christmas?'")

Only occasionally do we see neutrally worded, honest questions from Christians about Christianity.

I'm not saying Christians are the only ones who do this, of course. But they're hardly blameless.

---

I am unbelieving in the Xtian god because, when I searched my heart, I found the Bible to be false teaching. However, I am NOT an atheist.

Its all evolutionary. think of of it like this, each and every thing we do a technique or the different make contributions to our survival and protection of our genes. bobbing up a bond with a companion have its very own reward. in case you're a woman, you would be risk-free by means of your better half, in case you're a male, you have got the skill to circulate hunt mutually as your companion shelter your newborn. And the main needed section, you have got the skill to unfold your genes, and a pair of human beings have a extra effective possibility to enhance the infant. the element approximately cheating, it is likewise evolutionary and this is going against homogamous relationships. we seem for aggressive gene to reproduce with as a results of undeniable fact that way, your gene is a lot extra possibly to stay to tell the story. i assume the "bond" is physically powerful sufficient to conquer such temptations.

Good question. I agree with you 100%. I hope all will come to understand that a Christian wants to help and not cause anger. If it is felt that a Christian is arrogant and argumentative, we can assure that that is not the case. How else is a Christian to ask questions, show interest, give reasons why they feel as they do, without coming off as being argumentative? The beliefs are contrary to each other, how else is one to attempt to resolve the dispute if questions and reasons for our faith are not in a questioning (argumentative) form?

I know what the bible says, my father is a minister, I listened to it every day as a kid. I also know Jesus would be rolling over in his grave if he knew some of the things that have been done in his name by Christians over the years. Assuming he ever existed.

I don't know, I believe in God, the same God of Christianity, but Christians are constantly giving me crap about my faith and are constantly saying how superior they are without providing any legitimate evidence for that. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of Christian friends, but the folks on Yahoo Answers seem to go looking for a fight.

I see the night sky,a few buildings,a stray dog, and lots of grass.
This dosen't convert me. These things may/or may not have been "made" but the point is Christianity is the last religion I would convert to.

My parents created me, and when I look around I see all the bad, too. But hey, that's just me. I like considering both sides of the coin.
