I'm sure Church Chat offended someone, somewhere!

Not me. I went to church every Sunday and immediately ran back home to watch SNL which I'd taped from the night before. If anyone was offended by it, they're too uptight.

Well isn't that special.

I don't see why, she was just a goofball charecter who sometime broke out a nasty drum solo. She/he never directly made fun of any Christian religion. What might offend the Christians is the fact that the church lady was a man, a man with drug problems and who was hallariously funny.

I can only speak for myself, but I thought the Church Lady was funny. I still do. I don't describe myself as "religious", but I suppose some people consider me so because I am a Christian.

She didn't really offend me, but she did sadden and embarrass me because I know people like this exist. These people provide fodder for shows like SNL and those who truly love the Lord and who live out His grace among others get ignored.

I thought it was funny. if you can't laugh about yourself, then you probably have some insecurities about your religion... unless a joke is really mean and offensive (which SNL rarely/never is)

I don't know. It was pretty funny though. Once she talked about Christmas and took the name "Santa" and moved the letters around to spell "Satan." I got a good laugh out of that one.

Why be offended by a mocker going to hell? If anything we can hope they find the Lord before they die and spend eternity in hell.
