The Pauline epistles are the thirteen or fourteen letters in the New Testament of the Christian Bible traditionally believed to have been written by the apostle Paul.

I have a "unique" situation. The father of my unborn son is still married (seperated, but not legally seperated) he also has two children with his wife so the marriage cannot be easily annulled. He is now saying that when our son is born (Due March 17,2007) that he wants him baptised Catholic as he was. I do not have a religion so he told me I will have to go through the steps to convert into the Catholic religion.
I do not see how there is any possible way my son can become Catholic if 1) His father is married to another woman 2) I am not Catholic 3) he was conceived and will be born out of wedlock.

Not paganism like magic or devil worship. But like, ancient pagan religions. You know, like Egyptian, Roman, Greek, Norse, etc.

as the apostles did?I read the scripture when it said speak with other tongues lay hands on the sick and they will recover;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;"and greater things will happen to those who believe...........in other words Jesus said we can do bigger and better things then Him.I don`t see any pastors walking on water nor when their shadow casts on the sick they recover;nor raising the dead. The ones (i wont mention names) who claim to;turn out to be fakes.Me personally am just learning;I am starting to lay hands on animals when their dying and I`m having miraculous results. But it dosn`t work everytime;and I don`t claim to be all knowing nor in leadership at a church.

Many of us have been raised in a religious atmosphere, and know exactly what people mean when they talk about God, and what experiencing 'God' feels like, we just reject the fact that there is a supernatural, immortal, timeless being who cares about what happens in the world.

The Jews do not accept Jesus ...why?
Islam says that Jesus never even died, so why say he died for you? Is Islam wrong, if so how can I know this?
God said I am not a man that I should lie, then why do some call Jesus God?
The first thing the Jews did when they came out of Egypt, after Moses went up into the mountain to get the law, was to build a false god to worship and wanted to go back to Egypt.
If Egypt is a symbol of our captivity to sin, Then how do I know that the Jews did not repeat History in building Jesus up to be some God, and take away the law?
Do we stone a prostitute now a days, no we do almost any of the laws the 606 laws. Why? To hard ?
God messed up? Wanted to show His love by letting us Kill His son, A human sacrifice?
Why is Jesus called morning Star in the book of Rev. 22 ?
Why is He called the light?
Why is he called the prince of peace when he said I have not come here for peace but to put a sword …
Why does Jesus say to hate mom and dad sister and brother, then tell us to love our enemies?
I am wondering Why ? Why? Why?
Any one know any of these answers to a person who is searching for truth?

I understand how invisible pink unicorns and flying spaghetti monsters go to far, but what about more reasonable things?

What about the waterbabies, mermaids and the kraken?
Are they more reasonable?

Where are the lines. Do they have to be more human?

I just read something online about Jehovahas wittnesses and was a little confused.
It said that your religion believes that only 144,000 saved will go to heaven on a space ship.(Jehovahs only no one else)and the rest of the world is going to hell.
Well there are millions of jehovahs wittnesses in the world so obviously thats way more than 144,000, so which of you gets left behind?

Is it just to cause trouble? You obviously don't believe that your way of life will help anyone go to heaven, so why try to spread something that doesn't matter anyway?

I heard a teaching on this and then went on to check the facts and study it for myself... think about this:

- In Genesis, the woman is called a 'helper' to the man. I was told that helper, the particular Hebrew word used for women, really means PROTECTOR. That God made women to be the protectors and allies of men.

- I looked it up... the particular Hebrew word used there is only used about 20-21 times in the Old Testament. Nearly all those times (at least 19) it is used to describe God. "The Lord is my helper, whom shall I fear?" etc.

- Could it be that this is why the devil first approached Eve in the Garden? To disarm the security?

-Could it be that like men are to be like Christ and therefore represent God in their relationships to their wives, that women are to do the same and represent God to their husbands in a protective way?

-Could it be that this is why women are so protective by nature?

the original text of the old testament is in hebrew, which is a system of numerals as well as an alphabet. also, the original text has no vowels or spaces (they were added later). considering these things, how can the average person really understand the true meaning of the text, without relying on hearsay?
