You have to remember that for the Catholic, salvation is not about gaining heaven so much as avoiding hell, and a sufficiently holy life can accomplish this, through merits applied by Christ and the church itself.
Therefore both God and Man contribute to the salvation process.

Jesus, obviously, is the Sacraficial Lamb who has delivered us from sin. Anyone who claims catholics give credit for the direct act of salvation are either ill informed or anti-catholic bigots who promulgate lies to cover for the fact that they support hollow doctrines based on trashing others.

What are you asking? You mean like all the other christians get on about jesus?
From what I recall, Catholics are more about god "himself" than the minor league players, so to speak.
In spite of what many believe about the saints and "idol worship".
And they're not really into all that being saved stuff. Not in the same way the other christians are. You get your sacraments, you follow the rules, you get extra credit for being part of the only true religion - end of story.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):
By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.
With love in Christ.

are you asking who will decide if I am saved or not?
the answer to that is God and God alone.
if you are asking who or what brought me to the point where I was concerned about my salvation, I'd have to say it was my wife and children.
