I just read something online about Jehovahas wittnesses and was a little confused.
It said that your religion believes that only 144,000 saved will go to heaven on a space ship.(Jehovahs only no one else)and the rest of the world is going to hell.
Well there are millions of jehovahs wittnesses in the world so obviously thats way more than 144,000, so which of you gets left behind?

Jehovah's Witnesses believe the bible to teach that EVERY human has the hope of salvation; no "spaceship" is involved in Jehovah's Witnesses' ideas or in the bible's promises of salvation.
(John 3:16) God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that EVERYONE exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. [caps added]
In addition, Jehovah's Witnesses are quite famous for preaching and teaching that hell is not a fiery place of torture but merely another name for the grave (the state of being dead).
(Eccl 9:5,10) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all ...there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
Regarding the resurrection of humans to heaven, Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments) after Armageddon.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him
(Luke 12:32) Have no fear, LITTLE FLOCK [with a heavenly hope], because your Father has approved of giving you the kingdom [rulership alongside the Christ] [caps added]
(John 10:16) And I [Jesus] have OTHER SHEEP, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring [to be subjects of the kingdom] [caps added]
Over whom will they rule? Over those "other sheep", the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling from among godfearing worshippers, including many who were never Jehovah's Witnesses. Today, each true worshipper "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

I don't know where the spaceship came from but we don't believe that.
We do believe that 144,000 is the literal number of humans that will die and go to heaven but everyone else doesn't "go to hell".
We don't believe in eternal torment in hell but that hades and sheol are the Hebrew and Greek words for the common grave (Ecc 9:5,10). We believe that when you die, you die but that under God's kingdom there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous to everlasting life in paradise on earth (John 5:28, 29; Ps 37:11, 29; Revelation 21:1-5)
We don't believe that all 144,000 were/are Jehovah's Witnesses.
Just shows you can't believe everything you read on the Internet.

on a space ship. that is funny. read revelation about the 144,000 in the king james bible. other will live on the earth. read it about the meek shall inherit the earth. Jehovah did not change his mind. remember about Noah and the Ark, Jehovah destroyed the people not the earth. Jehovah cannot tell a lie. if we where all going to heaven, why did Jehovah put us on earth to suffer, just to go back to heaven, why didn't he just leave us there. because we are suppose to leave on earth. it is because of Adam and Eve not listening to Jehovah so we are born into sin. but Jehovah did not change his mind.

what's your element? you're actually not even asking a question, you attempt to lie to human beings into questioning that Jesus is God while he isn't. of course Jesus grew to become into suitable, and Thomas knew that he grew to become into God's Son. Thomas could be attentive to it simply by fact Jesus taught that. Jesus in no way claimed to be God. he's "godlike" nevertheless and Theos could be translated as "godlike". by the way, the Watchtower teaches wisely, Theos is the Greek be conscious meaning: “divine,” “godlike,” or “a god.” It relies upon how that's used, does it have a distinctive or indefinite article before it. while Theos is preceded by a distinctive article it ability "The God", as in Almighty God that's Jehovah. whether that's preceded by an indefinite article then it ability "a god" or a "godlike" one. you are able to twist the scriptures all you decide on, only like the Pharisees while Jesus grew to become into on earth, yet you will in no way holiday up Jehovah's people who definitely use sparkling reality, not twisted guy's techniques. Your Yahoo id identifies you as an apostate. So considering which you have been as quickly as linked with Jehovah's Witnesses you would be attentive to by now from sparkling scriptural learn that Jesus grew to become into of course God's Son. how are you able to flow lower back to the vomit? you're fooling your self. (2 Peter 2:20-22) ***LOL "Olin Moyle". you're each week too previous due.

im not a jehovas witness but in the bible, book of revelations it says at the end there will be 144000 of his people that will be lifted up during the tribulations, and jehovas witness takes this too literally. I mean did you hear about the couple in canada that let 2 of their babies die because they wouldnt let them have blood transfusion because in the bible it says something about the blood but it was actually for animals blood. I think they take the word way to literally and have no common sense. And for those to actually preach that is just ridiculous because in a way it contridicts the whole salvation issue. Why spread the gospal when only 144000 people are going to be saved. if i was a jehovas witness i wouldnt tell no one about this so that i would be one of the 144000 that would be saved....thatll get me to change to jehovas witness for sure.

spirit creatures live in heaven not people.
they believe in a paradise earth. hell is the grave
The good live forever on the earth and the bad people die when Jesus destroys the wicked.

This question is meant for nothing more than an argument starter, isn't it?
I would read the Bible first to check facts (loose term). But, I don't think they leave in a friggin' spaceship, either.

The inevitable question.
In Christianity, we believe the number 144,000 actually refers to Jews who did not believe in Jesus, and who fall on their knees to worship him.
I believe (please dont quote me) that Revelations actually refers to the "tribes" when talking about the 144,000 so it would make much more sense for those people to be Jewish.
