I'm not offended by the Bible, I just don't think it's "God's word", you can see why though, right? =0)

No, I live a very giving life. I am offended by the Bible because it promotes hate, abuse, slavery, and violence directly in its scripture.

Doug, what is your problem? Were you abused as a child or something? No one cares what you believe, just do it, and leave everyone else alone.

I'll weigh in on the question of sin when someone proves a deity exists to be offended by our misdeeds.

Prove that sin exists and we can discuss the nature of it.

what? no, I am offended because the bible tells us slavery is OK and a host of other little niggly things that indicate it was written by (compared to now) barbaric tribesmen.

Every action has consequences, doug.

The Bible, God's Inspired Word, has made me wise unto salvation.

1 Corinthians chapter 23 - 25 says:

So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended, and the Gentiles say it's all nonsense. BUT TO THOSE CALLED BY GOD TO SALVATION, BOTH JEWS AND GENTILES, CHRIST IS THE MIGHTY POWER OF GOD AND THE WONDERFUL WISDOM OF GOD. THIS "FOOLISH" PLAN OF GOD IS FAR WISER THAN THE WISEST OF HUMAN PLANS, AND GOD'S WEAKNESS IS FAR STRONGER THAN THE GREATEST OF HUMAN STRENGTH.
