I'm guessing you are talking about my answer. I did not say there were NO christians were put to death in the coliseum. Why is everything always so black and white with you people?

I'm saying it's presumptious to assume some flack on Yahoo equals being eaten by a lion. Feel free to prove me wrong at your local zoo.

To dish out some more history:

Many Christians have experienced persecution from both non-Christians and from other Christians during the history of Christianity. Persecution may refer to unwarranted arrest, imprisonment, beating, torture, or execution. It also may refer to the confiscation or destruction of property, or the incitement of hatred toward Christians. Many saints were martyred during the history of christianity. During Nero's reign in rome many christians were persecuted but only one saint was martyred, St. Peter who was crucified upside down because he didn't want to die the same way as Jesus.

Midge ... And there are some people who still swear that the Earth is flat. For every widely accepted fact, there's always a clown who wants to say the opposite. So, don't believe everything you hear and if you go with conventional wisdom, you'll be correct 99.9999% of the time.

P.S.: The Earth IS a globe/sphere despite what the Flat Earth Society says.

Hi Midge, of course they will deny it and they also deny that Stalin killed over 50 million people too, this attitude only shows stubborn pride and hardness of heart.
Oh by the way they are correct in saying that Christians were not persecuted in the colosseum this actually happened in the Roman circus which is close by.
Blessings to you.

The persecution of of Jews in the roman era happened but it was never as wide spread and organized as the Holocaust.

Desperate bigots have been denying the holocaust for ages. This is not new. They just had a conference in Iran, in fact. I'd never heard anyone deny that the Xians were fed to lions. Back in Roman times, everyone who wasn't a Roman citizen was fair game to end up in the colisseum. It wasn't just about the Xians. It was equal opportunity racism.

Hay! If that is their belief -- so be it!

By the way --- Mohammad never ever even existed!
It is a name made up by the Romans at the same time as they named The Promised Land Palestine.

Palestine is the name the Romans gave The Promised Land just to frustrate the Jewish peoples--------------

We have proof of the Holocaust. I can see some of the people thrown in the Colosseum being christian, though I don't think that is all it was used for.

Its a matter of degree midge. 65 million people died as a result of the second world war. 20 million Russians alone. People wonder why we never hear anything about all the rest, but we continually hear over and over about the ones who died in the so-called holocaust.

I you do some actual research you will find that a great many jews feel the same way.

They just don't make as much noise and aren't well funded as the ones keeping up the public relations campaign about the Holocaust.

There are people throught the world that have developed their own warped sense of reality.
Here are just a few examples:

Holocoust didn't happen
The US Government was behind 9/11
Oswald didn't act alone
Islam is a religion of peace

There will always be those who would rather deny reality, if it is in conflict with their agenda.
