can you imagine the results of people that actually do know the bible attending?

I'm finally to the point where I am no longer afraid to talk to my former christian friends who still invite me to bible studies

I wonder if it's like the "band camp" of American Pie?

Someone told me without God love isn't real,

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AorDk1NmjjOCJ.EHpr7e_nnd7BR.?qid=20070206124724AAg8j9h

Who the heck are you to tell me that my love for my wife isn't real or the love I have for my son isn't real.

Don't bother, I know the apologetics on this. I love cause God is involved I'm not really a 29 year old husband and father I'm really some teenager who rebels against God so I can act immorral.

Just go ahead and cut and paste,

Jim, your an immorral teenager who is in rebellion.

Forget facts like I'm an adult, age 29, husband and father, capable of love without a God belief.

I'm not one for telling people go to hell, but sometimes, and I don't mean a literal hell, but you can go to hell.

Where did Paul get this story? is it in the Jewish bible or history?
Id like to read the story

I feel sincerely sorry for all the people in Florida who got hit by the tornado including the people whose church got blown away. I also admire those people for the dedication and desire to go on an rebuild their church. I wish them the best of luck.

But, just for sake of conversation, if you are a believer then what can you say about a church being demolished by an act of god or nature? Any thoughts that this might be a negative comment from god or is it just one of those mysteries that we hear about?

and a big surprise to me, something answered! a voice spoke to me (through me) and said:

Shu'an the spirit of Fire
Kia the spirit of Earth
Jas the spirit of Water
Chu and Harat the twin spirits of Air
and Raz the guardian spirit of humanity
(i wasnt really paying much attention so i might of a few things wrong)

In the sense that one who has faith might fall for anything? Like those stupid preachers who just bilk money out of rubes under the guise of acquiring "eternal salvation".

Hi. I'm an atheist. I don't hate Christians because they love Jesus.

I love every human being on Earth. Period. The end.

I don't really hate anyone.

I just DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD.

But I don't hate anyone.

How does that make you feel?

And FYI thanks for getting the golden galf joke.

I got these two similar, but incongruent, answers when I suggested that someone who owns a TV while another person can't eat could be considered a sinner.

"Jesus told Judas when Jesus was being anointed with oil that there will always be poor. "

"The Bible said there would always be poor people. Jesus made it clear when Mary annointed Him."

These people obviously want to keep their TV's, but do these statements actually entitle them to it, or are these just sinner-excuses?
