It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist - he denies the Father and the Son
Scripture teaches Antichrist to be a political, religious, individual, yet to come in the future (as of this writing), who is opposed to God and God's Christ and God's church. Although the only places in Scripture the name Antichrist is used are I and II John (I John 2:18,22,4:3, II John 7), the Bible is replete with instruction regarding the reality we call Antichrist. The key passages are Daniel 7, 8, 11; Matthew 24; II Thessalonians 2; and Revelation 13, 17 and 18 -- where Antichrist is referred to as a beast, a little horn, a false Christ, that wicked one, and the man of sin.

There are many antichrist. The Bible speaks of them in 1st and 2nd John. He is any normal person who is against Christ. He has no special abilities. It can be a man or woman.

It isnt told in the Bible who exactly THE anti-christ is, as someone else answered, there are many "anti-christs" among us now, but the bible never clearly gives us many answers to exactly who or where he will come from.
It Just tells us that we need to be prepared for whenever that time for him to come occurs. If you want more info, i would suggest reading revelation!! great book for these types of questions!

Prophesy tells that when the world around us gets so bad, and wars emerge upon God's holy land, and new leaders come about in America, it is said that one on the upcomming leaders will dictate america, and take over and rage against the christians, that is the Anti-Christ. That is when God will come back.

I don't think the antichrist is of actual appearance, but he/she is someone more like the devil, who tries to get us to turn against God.
I don't believe in all that rubbish - except one of the boys at school once called me the antichrist last year on 06/06/06!
