I feel sincerely sorry for all the people in Florida who got hit by the tornado including the people whose church got blown away. I also admire those people for the dedication and desire to go on an rebuild their church. I wish them the best of luck.

But, just for sake of conversation, if you are a believer then what can you say about a church being demolished by an act of god or nature? Any thoughts that this might be a negative comment from god or is it just one of those mysteries that we hear about?

It was an act of nature. A church was in the way. Cause and effect.

Hi! A church is a building constructed by man. A very high wind came along and produced a tornado which ripped through the man made building and knocked it all a part. Let's discuss the philosophical meaning behind the Wal-Mart that got blown down by the same wind. No religious connection there, just wind!!! It was just the Wind!!!

A building blown down? You can ask why the disciples were killed for their belief. Why Paul was killed. Why Christians were mutilated, burned or made sport of by the Romans. A little persecution doesn't mean judgment although it can be. Bottom line is, do you love God even in times of distress. How does this tiny amount of time here compare to eternity? Would you walk and serve God if you never had a test? I can assure you, no. Testing brings you into maturity. I would worry about what happens after death rather than what happens in this blink of an eye life we have here.

It was a tornado, not a comment from God.

It was a horrible night. I hope that the folks there can rebuild and that Florida will change their policy on tornado alerts.

No - I don't see it as a negative anything from God. This wasn't an act of God - this was an act of nature. Although God can stop all bad from happening, this life is a trial and therefore - we need challenges to help us grow. The leadership of that church showed that was their belief as well. You didn't see them whining - you saw them working together to rebuild.

get your bathroom ready for allot of mess if your planning all sweet drinks, or try my signature drink witch I call a pink thang; basically a comakasie with pineapple and a splash of cranberry served over or straight up. I do like fruit daiquiris strawberry, peach, and even banana, but i would stay away from alot of surgery drinks cause to much makes you lose your peanuts and that doesn't make a good party.

I'm not Christian, but I'm amazed that the people still came together on Sunday and are having a memorial service for people who died. That impressed me. I hope all the reporters who showed up stuffed the collection plate!

I don't believe in a God who punishes like that, and I'm so glad.

God didn't cause it. Why it happened is anybodies guess. God will give the strength to rebuild.
