christians need to drop the whole "taking out of context" argument? its obvious they dont even bother opening their bible to read the surrounding text when they use this argument. i think its about time they come up with a new way to "beat around the bush" and avoid a potential debate with another meaningless statement.

Are you confident in your life and abilities, therefore, you don't need a "god" to help you?

Or do you humble yourself and acknowledge that you need God's forgiveness and help in life?

why?

While it certainly would take a long time... Hypothetically, if the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Churches came to some sort of way to amicably exist as a SINGLE Church, should they do it?

The definition of an agnostic is someone who claims that they don't have sufficient knowledge to KNOW weather there is a god or not.

Theists usually agree that there is no way to prove, or disprove the existence of god.

If this is true then nobody has sufficient knowledge as to weather god exists and is therefore an agnostic.

Any thoughts?

we have millions of interconnecting things that keep us alive, and who (please don't answer god- i'm not sure if I believe in him) created us? It can't be evolution, because then who came up with the idea of evolution? I can't have just come into existence without some sort of logical thought.

how come if anyone takes a verse from the bible you tell them its "out of context" or that they are doing it only to create an argument or this or that.

do you not know you do the very same? John 3:16, Romans 6:23
and many others, you take a SINGLE verse from the bible to mean something. why can these verses be singled out and mean something, and other verses cant?

This was explained in Church but I still do not understand the scripture. I need some help with this scripture. When I read the scripture I got a different meaning than what was explained in Church.

Other wise what was explained in Church was that the congreation is suppose to do more in the Church. That God makes our nests prickly so that we can step into a ministry in this Church. But, I didn't get that from this scriputure. I maybe wrong. I don't know need help Please.

Matthew 12:39-40 Jesus tells us that only evil people seek after a sign, but the only one that will be given is the Resurrection. John 6:44, tells us that only the Father can draw people to Christ. The miracles that Jesus did were fulfillment of prophecy that pointed Him out for who He is. Another good example of this were the people of the Exodus, these people saw the Red Sea parted, the pillar of fire by night, the pillar of dust by day, they ate the mana, and still they rebelled, do NOT rely on miracles to save people. Our job is to speak the truth in love and then step back to allow the Holy Spirit to do His work. The Holy Spirit is the one who convinces someone that they are a sinner, John 16:8, He warns of judgment to come, John 16:11, He tells us of the righteousness of Christ, John 16:10 and He guides us in all truth, John 16:13. Please stop trying to get people to believe because of miracles, this is blasphemy. STOP ARGUING! It is futile and vain and does not serve to edify.
