The definition of an agnostic is someone who claims that they don't have sufficient knowledge to KNOW weather there is a god or not.

Theists usually agree that there is no way to prove, or disprove the existence of god.

If this is true then nobody has sufficient knowledge as to weather god exists and is therefore an agnostic.

Any thoughts?

Faith is not knowledge... faith is belief in the absence of knowledge.

Better yet, Faith is belief independent of knowledge.

So you are not taking faith into account, but purely science? In that case, then yes, everyone would therefore be an Agnostic as you say. But your theory/definition doesn't take into account "faith." Religion isn't a pure science. If someone's faith is strong and unbreakable, isn't it possible that they "know" without being able to "prove," and therefore, they couldn't then be labeled an Agnostic?

It raises an interesting point. For those who say they know there is a God how do you know - have you ever met God or got actual proof? Isn't God like the Loch Ness Monster or Big Foot - people claim that they exist but there is no hard evidence or proof? - Being agnostic makes the most sense.

I do have sufficient knowledge to know that there are no deities by any name or of any type.

You cannot prove the non-existence of a deity, true. However, you can prove that a necessary consequence is missing and thus do so in a round-about way.

A Christian or a believer has a different mind.He can either see miracles from God or the other supernatural beings(devil, angels , The Blessed Virgin, even Jesus), or he receives from God a different judgemet, and he sees that only God could make the man...the tree, etc...and he knows why...everybody has its own evidence..so the real Christians are not agnostics..only those who...think it os fashionable to be a Christian...

Too bad I DO claim that I have sufficient knowlegde to know whether there is a god or not.

Proof is different than having sufficient knowledge.
