How could this be God?

I think, as God He knew all things- past current and future.
But He never had a need to think of it. He only needed to think of the present mosy importaint things to teach the people and His deciples. Anything from the future would have to be things to concern them and help them grow.
Unfortunatly a bicycle was not of great importance that the people and deciples should know.

Since it is not mentioned in the bible, bicycles must be a creation of the devil. They probably lead to dancing or some other mortal sin. Avoid them. If you come across one, the best thing to do would be to burn it like you would a witch.
