Could we all try and get along please?

Wouldn't it be nice if this place was about sharing knowledge and insights,

instead its tearing one another down.

I appeal to the best in all of you. Let your soul be your guide.

I mean, you can quote bible stuff till your blue in the face, but God can do anything you say, perhaps flip the script completely and bypass the revelations stuff or even decide to turn people into different things simply because God is God and can do anything!

Has anybody ever thought that maybe, neither science or religion can fully explain our existance? Lets be honest both have whopping great holes in them. Does anyone have any postmodern thinking which could better explain life?

Just theories would be great, i'm just interested.

please dont try to prove science or religion, i'm interested in new ideas not a debate!!!!

Ok, here's the deal. I'm thirteen years old, I was born in January 1994. From then until mid-2006 I was a devout Catholic. I believed in everything and even attended a Catholic elementary school because, simply, I grew up with the religion and it stuck with me.But in mid 2006 my life grew really complicated, a lot of bad stuff happened, and I started doubting the truth of God and the Catholic religion. In mid 2006 I officially considered myself Agnostic, but still attended Catholic church because my family did.
Now it's February 2007, and I've been reading into a religion that sounds just right for me. The religion is scientology, and I know that it is an extraordinarily controversial religion but it works for me. I am quite aware I will be made fun of and judged and will most likely lose a lot of friends, but it's something I feel I need to do.
I'm very serious about converting to scientology, and it's not going to work unless I can tell my parents. They're all very religious. How?

Nazism is completely banned in Germany. Seriously, it is against the law to be a Nazi in Germany. Some would call that a "lack of freedom" but if you have cancer, why would you want it to proliferate?

I think it's a good idea to ban radical Islam outright.

If the rest of the so-called "moderate muslims" can erase all of the jihad crap from the Qu'ran, then I don't have a problem with it. Otherwise, give Islam the boot.

If there is no soul then our minds are just a product of natural selection. According to evolution, there is no separation between freewill and instinct.

creator? The rest of the relationships develop other than the creator will also die a natural death. It is like you never have a loving relationship with your children, your wife, and peole that plays a big part in you life. So what will happen if one failed to cultivate its relationship to his/her creator after physical death? All religions are welcome to answer.

All these portraits depict jesus as having long hair...

1 Corinthians 11:14
Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,

(if im taking it out of context please show me how, and explain it in full context, otherwise, dont bother --- last i checked it didnt say, "unless your jesus, or samson")

then why are non-believers worried about fighting Him if He comes back? You want a chance to fight Him and yet, you either do not believe He existed in the first place, or you believe he is merely a man like you and I. It'd be pretty amazing for "just a man" to be raised from the dead..AGAIN, first of all.

To my fellow believers, don't let Satan get you caught up in arguing with non-believers in this forum. I know some of the statements that are made by them get under our skin but, don't forget, we were once like them. Remember James 1:19-20 "So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." On this forum, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,....(Ephesians 6:12). Love them, and spread the gospel to them. Jesus will judge all of us when the time comes....Praise God!

Every time it is dark. I be feeling this weird feeling. I hear it and I feel it is close to me. Like when I am on the computer at night time and all of the lights are off, I feel something behind me and I hear little noises. It gets my chest this stiff feeling I get kind of freaked out so I turn the lights back on. Then when I am laying on my bed to sleep. I hear noises in my house. Like the floor... by the window like someone climbed into my house thru my window or doing whatever there cuz i would hear something on the floor, then it will go away and then a little later i hear it again. What the heck it that?
I am so afraid of the dark.

You say Christians cannot prove that God exists, well can you prove that God does not exist? Where did the Universe come from? Do you think that the universe created itself? How do you explain the physics behind that? Don't the laws of physics say that you cannot create something out of nothing? I myself see that the laws of physics actually go more in the favor of creation rather than atheism. Someone had to create the universe. Things do not create themselves. But thats my opinion.

actually, watching a Christian and muslim argue over who is right and who is wrong regarding God....is like watching two kids fight over which is more real, the tooth fairy or santa claus....except the kids don't actually kill eachother over it
