I would be very happy if peace was declared all over the world but prophecies will come true according to God's plan. I have not read revelations, just in bits and pieces and not since I have gained an understanding. I do understand many of the prophecies of Danial and such, but I have this strange thought looming about the time I understand what is written about the end and have not felt led in that study yet as I am certain I am not ready.

dude, they will call it a truce, because that also in the prophecies, that's how the anti-christ will get all the nonbelievers to follow him, by solving a major problem (being the war on Iraq which is actually not a war- its part of the New World Order's plan on taking over the world) and making peace with all the nations (which is what the NWO will do). so the faster the peace is made, the sooner Christ will come. cause 3.5 years after Christ comes back, and the world is filled with peace, then the anti-christ will reveal to the world who he really is and thats when hell will break loose on earth.

There will be peace in the middle east for 3 1/2 years. The Antichrist will make a treaty with Israel. And after the 3 1/2 years,he will break the covenant...then.... all hell(quite literally) breaks loose.

I'd likely laugh, because we know what a truce means to extremists. Make a truce today...cut a few throats and send a few car bombs tonight, receive the other sides retaliation and b*tch about them not observing the truce tomorrow. Lather, rinse, and repeat.

On the contrary that is precisely what is prophesied in the Bible as a sign that the Anti-Christ is here and therefore Jesus coming and the end is very near.

Christians pray for peace everywhere. It is not our desire for anyone to fight and kill one another. Instead we pray for people everywhere to be saved so the fighting will stop and we can live peacefully in this world all the time.
