Jesus said " Suffer little children to come unto me" And it is truly a shame that some Catholic priests did those things!

In theological terms, an adult is anyone who has reached the age of reason. A "child", or course, has not.

Because children have not yet reached the age of reason, they are innocent and trusting. They believe God, His Church's teachings without question.

Adults, having reached the age of reason, tend to think too much and cab be very skeptic of relgiious Truths. This often creates a road block to an adults when it comes to believing God and following His teachings.

Jesus says "Come to me as a child" in the sense that he wants adults to be as trusting of God as children are.

He means that we should come to Him with the innocence of a child. As adults we think that we know so much and can be so judging and opinionated (as shown by the second half of your question) that we often miss the basic truths that are placed before us. A child is so loving and trusting and so should we be.

Doing research in the past I've found out that he meant we'd be "reborn" to think as a child. To be as innocent and pure as one and then be accepted. This is the "born again" Christian thing.

From a critical POV, he meant that children are gullible (they are easily indoctrinated into theism after all) and, therefore, wanted adults to be like children in the sense of being as easily duped as them.

Take your pick.

No He was not a Catholic Priest.
He did say that an evil tree can not bring forth good fruit nor can a good tree bring forth evil fruit.
In regards to your question,
....Mat....
1.At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2.And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3.And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4.Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5.And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6.But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
7.Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

You see Jesus never hurt any children.
I pray you will receive this answer in goodness.
God bless you my friend.
