Even if it hurts someone's feelings? But if we don't then we're lying and that's a sin. What are people's thoughts on that?

First off, let me start with saying that I used to believe in Christianity, but as I grew up I discovered how much garbage it all is.
First off, religion would be MUCH more respectable if it was based on logic using our current understanding of the universe and the world. The Abrahamic god of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam emerged in early bronze age tribal societies where superstition and ignorance were the rule. These societies had no intellectual tradition of logic and reason, and they placed no value on logic and reason. The idea of logic and reason as things to be sought after, practiced, or valued wouldn't even exist for another couple of millennia. Their ancient superstitions are the basis of modern Western religion, not any logical or rational thought. This basis is as far from logic and reason as you can get.

Sacramento has a Freethought Day. Major cities obviously have non-religious parts. But which cities tend to have more non-religious citizens than others?

people talk a lot here about christians and catholics as if they are two entirely different religions, and as if catholicism is not a part of the overall spectrum of christianity. for example, questions like "can a christian marry a catholic?" have been asked. is this something that catholics agree with - that they are an entirely separate non-christian religion - or is it just something non-catholic christians say to insult catholicism?

and also, what is the reason either catholics aren't considered christians, even though they follow jesus?

Obviously people raised to think Christianity is a satanic, false religion will keep away. You can't expect people to trust some preacher from the whole other side of the world over their own parents and community.

I asked his forgiveness for this sin, but my depression is bigger than the sin and I feel he has written me off.

I mean, he's all into squirting blood out of the wounds in baby lambs necks, "dashing infants to pieces" ....in his 'own' words.

God coincidentally sounds just like primitive bronze age men from the middle east....
any idea why?

I'm a christian and do not have a family church. However I am a believer in Christ our Lord and Savior. I've been wondering if home communion is acceptable as church? Considering the church of Christ is the body of believers anyhow.

On December 13, 2003, Hill shocked officials at a Christmas benefit concert at the Vatican by denouncing "corruption, exploitation, and abuses", in reference to the child molestation of boys by Catholic officials in the United States of America and the cover-up of offenses by Catholic Church officials.

That the secular progressives want to eliminate terms like "A.D, "BC" and "christmas" because they are mideveal, outdated, bigoted poson and must be eliminated at all costs from the world, ye the fact that our months and days are largely named after Roman, viking etc. figures (e.g. Janus-Jaunuary Thor-Thursday) is a glowing testimony to the diverse and wondurful nature of human history? Why not eliminate these terms too? And why isn't there a heated debate about naming our planets after Roman Gods? Is it me or is it just Christianity is to be destroyed but everything else can stay? What's up?

{And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night."} (Gen. 1:3-5a)

{And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness.} (Gen 1:14-18a)

But the earth is a Spherical Globe. It's always light on part of the planet and dark on another part.

Was God unaware that the Sun is ALWAYS shining (at least for the last 4.5 billion years)?

i saw an answer to a previous question, that stated: "how can you be a christian, if you don't know anything about the religion." good point. does being born (from birth) into a religion automatically make you part of it? or is it your choices you make along your life's journey that plays a bigger factor?

what do you guys think?

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, so what does He mean when He told the thief, "today, you will be with Me in paradise"? Jesus did not ascend to heaven on that same day, right? so what do you think that place He referred to as paradise must be?

“In reality we create about 80% of the problems we face in our lives through our choices and actions. Though there are those things no one can stop such as death and other people’s choices. Though for the choices of others you can attempt to influence even though it may not work. For example say you smoke for 7 years or 10 years or something like that. Then about 10-20 years later you get lung cancer which obviously is bad but is a consequence of a choice you made. Now for teens lets say you’re really mean to someone who hasn’t been mean to you, one day though they might actually do something about it and hurt you or even hurt themselves. Actions and choices influence so much in our daily lives and is so easily forgotten. Your actions can create problems for you and others as well so think about what you do before you do it.”
