{And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night."} (Gen. 1:3-5a)

{And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness.} (Gen 1:14-18a)

But the earth is a Spherical Globe. It's always light on part of the planet and dark on another part.

Was God unaware that the Sun is ALWAYS shining (at least for the last 4.5 billion years)?

The apologist response to this is always quoting from Isaiah 40:22:
" It is He who sits above the CIRCLE of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in "
They claim that this is the answer to the contradiction... when it really isn't. They're being willfully dishonest and they know it.
First of all, it says CIRCLE, not SPHERE.
Secondly, you cannot have a tent without a FLAT SURFACE. Isaiah literally meant spreading out the heavens as a canopy.

Here are a couple of verses I like:

Revelation, chapter 7
1: After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree.

Revelation, chapter 20
8: and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

There is an example of HIm seperateing the light and darnnkness. Light on one side darkness on the other side. The sun is govenring the day and the moon the night. I dont see the point your trying to make.

God Bless

You are absolutely right! He did! in the new testament, Jesus mentioned what various things people would be doing when the rapture came. Some of those things were done in the morning, some in the evening, some late at night. How did Jesus know this?

It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course. (Quran 21:33)

It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). (Quran 36:40)

Did God know he was making a spherical globe? Well, I'm not going to tell him.

Isaiah 40:22

God knew that the earth was round, thousands of years before science discovered it, since God made the earth this way.

Apparently. But that's not surprising, since the primitive humans who invented him also invented his words.
