I'm just curious, you know? I know many Christians are condescending, or rude, or just plain stupid, sometimes (okay, a lot of the time...). So what bothers you? What can I do to make you want to talk about it seriously, rather than swearing at us, or calling us all gay/lesbian retarded, haters, etc.?

And please don't respond unless you really have an answer. I can't stop you from answering with an immature comment, but it would be nice if y'all respected a gal.

Thanks! I can't wait to see what everyone has to say.
Peace, Luv, an Cap'n Crunch! ^_^

With questions that have no bearing on Religion/Spirituality whatsoever. With insulting remarks directed against people of differing phylosophies and Faiths.

Yahoo really needs to moderate this forum.

bigot

I think it would be awesome if some kids were playing in a field and they walk up to this mound of dirt that looks like it has a face and arms. They walk up to touch it and its eyes open and it roars and has long sharp teeth and tries to grab them. The kids run off screaming and are traumatized.

and then you just say to yourself, " Where would I start explaining it to a person who presupposes 2, 3, or 4 strawman fallacies?

It's tearing my soul into pieces...especially the Jesus part. I feel like giving up. I want to believe in Jesus so much but my heart is telling me not to go there...something about him is suspicious. I'm so tired...

I'm so lost, I feel like I'm going to hell..

First off, I feel I should let everyone know that I have a high amount of respect for Atheists. I know most questions entitled "Question for Atheists" are from Fundies who try to challenge your belief structure, but trust me on this, I am not one of those. Atheists have brought the human race forward at a speed greater than if there were no Athiests.

Now for my question: Do you think homosexuals are born that way? If so, why? If not, why not? Please elaborate.

Blessed Be.

The Christian Bible warns people against witchcraft, divination, mediums and reading the stars.....this includes horoscopes. Saying you are a Capricorn is claiming a label. What if you say "I don't have a sign." People ask you your birthdate and then they tell you what your sign is... you have no choice, it is just assigned to you. Is this a trick to get us to join the antichrist?

I'm gay and I don't see how there could be a god who made me and then called me bad, and immoral. That's just stupid! If there was some kinda true proof... not just some lady who saw jesus in her chalupa.

What intolerance and ignorance did Christianity create in you?
For me, I used to think:
1. Witchcraft was all evil and ment to harm you.
2. Homosexuality was evil and needed to be banned.
3. Muslims were all killers and enemies of Christians.
4. Did not matter how good you were or what religion you were in, if you were not a Christian you would go to hell.
5. Atheists were ignorant.
6. Wiccans and Pagans were of the Devil.
7. Satanists actually worshiped Satan (not true at all)
8. If I ever thought any different I might lose my faith and go to hell.
9. Christianity was having its right taken away. (e.i No prayer in PUBLIC school, in God we trust and all that crap)
10. Evil this. Evil that. Evil evil evil!!!

I got sick of it & started questioning everything. I became a somewhat tolerant Christian but still believed the Bible & its hatred toward certin things & people. It was not until I found Paganism(actually it found me. long story)that I began to see how wrong this was.

If someone has experienced something of the sort, can you tell me what it's like? It's interesting because there are very few texts that describe the state, but several that tell you how to get there.

Thank you!

There are a lot of questions and answers recently coming from homophobic bigots against same-sex marriages. I'm getting sick of seeing their justifications, none of which do not include the word "God".

Christianity is the only religion that thinks that they have the divine right to impose their morality on everyone they deem unholy.
Is anyone else sick of it?
