If you are referring to Extremists and Radicals when they are led astray by their own desires. They should be jailed for their crimes.
As for God-fearing, Law-Abiding Muslims (the other 99%), we are people too, we just like to pray 5 times a day to please God, give Charity and Fast thats what real Islam is about. All this Jihad nonsense by extremists is stupid because they don't even know that in Islamic Law, only the Leader of a Muslim Nation can for it. It's equivalent to let say Bill in Kentucky starting a War with Mexicans, when only the President has the power to do so.
The Only Psychological Phenomenon you can attribute to us is Submission to God's will.
