Well, the mind can do amazing things. When one believes that prayer works, then, if the person believes enough, it will work.

Well yes, but praying isn't about getting what I want or some type of physical reward. It's about praying for those I love and even those I don't. But recently I have prayed for a friend to come to Christ, and for God to work in his heart. Recently he has been interested in what God has in store for him. He wants to learn about Jesus and find truth in life. God has surely heard my prayers, and in turn is answering them. Just remember when you pray, to pray without end. Not literally, but throughout the day, and pray with faith. If you're doubting any of this, the best way to start off is to pray for his mercy. Pray sincerely that you want to understand. If you become a child of God he will surely give what you ask. I have also found that sometimes the best answer to a prayer is no answer at all. Remember that we are servants to him, we work for his cause. Pray for salvation and redemption. And don't pray a repetitive prayer, but rather something meaningful.

God could answer anybody's prayer He wants
But most of the time He moves on our part by faith.
The bible says that, without faith it is impossible to please Him because we must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Faith moves God's hand.
I would frequently see a chiropractor. I had injured my lower back in my early 20's 3rd and 4th lumbar would misaligned and my back would go out. Sometimes it took several weeks for my back to get better. Then 6-8 months later I would have the same problem again.
9 years ago I had faith enough to turn to Christ and begin to seek the truth about Him. In the process I learned that Christ not only died for my sins, but He also suffered that I would be healed not just spiritually but physically.
Well I won't get into all the scriptural truths that helped me but the fact is I haven't went to a chiropractor in 8 1/2 years and am totally healed of my back condition. Now I help people move, lifting furniture and appliances, something I was never able to do before without throwing my back out.
This is just one example what your faith can do, if its in the one true God
seek the truth
life's too short to screw up eternity

When I was a young girl in Church years ago, their was a Husband and Wife who had adopted a baby, when she was a toddler she was diagnosed with Leukemia. We all gathered around her at the alter and prayed for her and the Pastor anointed her. When she returned to the Doctor the Leukemia was gone...The Power of Prayer is amazing and wonderful...Even if you don't think your prayers are being heard, believe they are, keep the faith and know that God answers prayer in his time and his way...He knows what is best for all of us, even when we don't...God Bless

So many things have been going terribly wrong in my life right now that I can't even keep track of them. But yesterday things kept fell into place with so many meticulously timed coincidences that it was actually spooky. I thought, "This must be from prayer." A few minutes later I checked my answering machine for messages and my cousin was saying,"I'm praying for you today!"

I have first and second hand knowledge of broken marriages fixed, rebellious kids returning home, seriously ill people cured (I mean the doctors offered no hope for survival), the unemployed finding jobs. I could go on and on. Prayer works, but only if you have faith. And God does answer all prayers, but not when you want them answered – which is usually right now.

When I was in my mid 20's I was a non-believer and heavily into drugs. One night I saw a Religious show on TV. They said that God saves. I figured that I didnt have anything to lose so I got on my knees and prayed for help. The help was instantaneous and very obvious. That morning I went and visited my parents whom I hadnt seen in months. Since then I got my BS degree and just bought my first home.
God answers prayers.

Yes, I can. Our pastor's son was in an awful car wreck. It was on a Wed. afternoon. Prayer meeting was Wed. evening. This young man only has one kidney and things were very bad for him. He was broadsided by another car on the side where the only surviving kidney is. (He was born with only one)
His medical charts show a sudden upturn at the very moment we started, as a group, praying for him. It is documented in his medical records.

My daughter went to our family doctor because she was sick. He said that she needed to see an ENT doctor and have her tonsils removed. This was on a Friday, on Sunday our church prayed on her, and on monday she went to see the ENT He said that her tonsils were normal size and he would not remove them. God answers our prayers. By His stripes we were healed, and if we were, we are.
God bless
