I feel Xian Fundie trolls have ruined this forum...and this world, for the good and honest people.
They're insulting, intolerant, poorly educated, aggressive, and hatefilled towards anyone not Xian...and even Xians of other sects.
Yahoo! does need to moderate this forum and get rid of those horrid Fundies. *sigh*

Without you knowing, God is working in mysterious ways, you may hear about it today and everyday hereafter.
The tree of knowledge was the "first evil" that was crossed by a human, but was it really, it created the knowledge of so many things including procreation. Where the down fall was when people started to lose direction and started to swamp partners, gay ways and so on. God ordered Moses to redirect his people, now his people is Gods people back on the right track. The Ten Commandments where set up, but over time again the minority again strayed from God. God now works through all religions to fix up this minority mess until it is totally fizzed out. The devil has and will continue to undermined God and have people try to destroy this system. I tell you this, even if you are or decide to go against God with this information, God has protected me and many others, so you cannot harm me or get very far with this. He uses mind power that it is unheard of. And any one that says he uses this ends up being called crazy and disregarded. You and others cannot stop GOD.

So you're saying that ALL the trolls here are atheists? I've seen plenty of religious trolls here. Actually I think the trolls are neither atheist or christian but people who are just trying to stir up trouble. But there are some humorous questions and answers and I think that is fine as long as no one is personally getting bashed. We need a little humor in everyday life. But I do not like the porno pics and the in depth sex talk. This is not the place.

I'm not even sure if they are atheist all the time, I think generally, they are just stupid and immature.
By the way, Christians certainly fit into that "bigot" catagory, Atheists aren't the ones who say those who don't agree to their exact 'truth' will be doomed to hell forever.
And especially 'saved" Christians don't exactly give a lot of wiggle room, you either believe exactly as they do or you are doomed to hell,

I agree that trolls have made it a somewhat hostile environment...but honestly, do you really take this forum all that seriously? I like to express my views and opinions and enjoy reading other peoples'. Occasionally I learn something new. It's just a way to pass time for me. Very rarely do I report someone..it's only when someone has a pornographic or obscene avatar or question....there are kids on here and that stuff is totally inappropriate.

If the purpose of Yahoo Answers is to provide a safe space for legitimate questions, then this forum has failed and needs to be overhauled. It would benefit from moderators who could remove any question that involves insulting or attacking a group of participants.
The intolerance and bigotry isn't limited to just atheists, though. I've seen plenty of it on both sides, and that means moderators would have to maintain strict neutrality when deciding what questions to pull.
I think it could be done, but first, Yahoo Answers would need to do a better job of codifying the types of questions that are unacceptable.

I have been here for a while, and trust me these forums have never been that great. There have been trolls roaming them from the start. Atheists are not the only participants that are capable of trolling. The very format of this question stinks of troll poo.

Need I remind you that when there are no atheists around, there are plenty of fights to be had BETWEEN the various faiths and denominations? The chances are that you will then be complaining about the Jehovah's Witnesses Trolls, or the Muslim Trolls, or Pick Your Least Favorite Faith Trolls.
It seems to me that your accusation of bigotry should be held as a mirror to reflect your own face, for I fear you are making a gross generalization that doesn't come close to reflecting the facts.

I agree. Although I think we all agree that clean, open debate is fine, and, in fact, may be the best thing to do, people who just come in and bash basically show that they have no interest in thinking about the question, they already have the answer. What I'd love, however, is one basic forum where people can have an honest argument-refute-argument-refute discussion. *Sigh* Well, I can dream, can't I?
