I asked his forgiveness for this sin, but my depression is bigger than the sin and I feel he has written me off.

We don't really drive Him away as much as separate ourselves from Him by our sin. We must remember that we are forgiven if we belong to Christ and we must also obey His command to sin no more. Humble yourself before Him and He has promised to pick you up.

Of course God is still listening! NO sin is bigger than another in God's eyes. Sin is just sin. The depression is coming from you not being able to forgive yourself. God ALWAYS answers prayer. Sometimes He says NO. Sometimes the answer is "Just be patient". Sometimes He gives you the tools to be able to solve the problem yourself. God does not punish people with disease, etc. That is just something that happens in this life. Try speaking to God friend to friend. I am SO grateful for some of the prayers I've prayed that weren't answered the way I thought they should have been. I would not have my husband and son! Give it time. I watched my mom die of M.S. She was a woman that had been active in our church and she had prayed for a healing my whole life. She didn't get it here on earth. She wasn't a "bad" person. The answer was just NO.

God never stops listening. And God does things in mysterious ways. Don't give up on God when God never gives up on you. God forgives your sins. Perhaps it's you that hasn't forgiven yourself? That is probally the case, keep in mind we ALL are only human, and we all make mistakes. Sometimes they are big ones, soemtimes they are small. But regardless of size, God loves and forgives all the same.

Continue to pray, and sit and think what you need to do to move forward. Perhaps ask God to guide you to getting out of this depression slump. God is always there to hold your hand through to the better side of things, you just have to extend your hand to his :)

Good luck!!!

God never stops listening to His children. Have you asked Jesus to come into your heart? If not, you really should. I don't know what you've done, but God does and He is the ONLY one that can truly forgive and redeem us. If you have truly asked His forgiveness, then He has already forgotten it. If you are able to, you might ask the person involved for their forgiveness as well. Hang in there, it will all work out! Don't give up!!!

God always listens. When you ask for forgiveness he has forgiven your sin. It is over. In God's eyes, no sin is bigger than the other. You have to forgive yourself now. You have to let it go when you ask for forgiveness. That is hard to do, but once you give it to God, it is his. You can let it go. Do something nice for someone else. When you Volunteer to help others it helps you out of your depression. It lets you see others and help others that need help and you don't focus on your problems as much. Pray daily to God about how you feel. Ask him to lift the heaviness of the depression off your shoulders. I will pray for you too. Hugs to you. Remember, God always forgives. I asked Jesus into my heart and I believe he died for me on the cross. We all are sinners and no sin is bigger to God than the other. We ask for forgiveness and it is forgotten. We have to live our lives to try to please him. Don't hang onto what is already forgotten.

.No way no how there is no sin God can not forgive. Actually there is no dimension of sin they are all the same to Him. Let go and let God take care of it. Satan is lying to you by making you feel guilty. If you have asked for Gods forgiveness repent turn from what ever the sin is and move forward. Jesus died for us to be able to have this privilege

No he does not stop listening but he sure seems distant from a mind that is wondering about the effects or consequences of mistakes. What we know about God is that he is full of love. He loves the sinner but not the sin. He knew all of us would "run amok" and surely is not unprepared for our fall and rise.

If your sin was really bad your spirit is probably in a lot of pain. Feeling unworthy is feeling sorrow or depression and that drowns out pleasing peaceful thoughts. Like a broken arm makes it hard to feel cheerful about much 'til it mends. But reading about others repentence and return to grace is refreshing and inspiring.

I know a young girl who made a mistake not unlike the woman taken in adultary that Christ encountered. My acquaintence in H. S. while dating became pregnant. Afraid her wonderful family would be bitterly disappointed and shamed deeply she worried in pain. She went to her parents. Her family stood by her, prayed daily and gave encourgement to her. She did not marry....then. She gave the baby for adoption to a deserving and humble set of parents. She went back to school and earned a college degree. Later she met and married a wonderful caring and distinguished man with whom she today has a beautiful family.

She did not spend her life punishing herself but rather accepted the fact that she wished she had not made the mistake but wisely chose to not follow it with other life damning mistakes. She had courage to do what was right at the next step and from there simply went back to school which was her plan all along.

God is a loving parent. He wants to encourage you and we all to put mistakes right (where possible) and move on to do what you know is right tomorrow and the next day. Take hope. You will heal. Pray daily in your heart or aloud. Soon you will feel his love and find answers to your prayers. I promise. I have been there.

No, God is always there for us. We stray from Him, However he never leaves us. Even if you sin bigtime. He is a very forgiving God. He gave his only son to bare our sin and burdons. Like a parent is disapointed when their children misbehave so is God when we mess up, but if we pray for forgivness and honestly mean it we are forgivin. Learn from that experiance and move on.

If you have accepted Jesus as your savior, then your sins, past, present and future have been nailed to the cross. The Bible says that when we ask for forgiveness, God blots out our sins and remembers them no more. It says that He puts our sins as far as the East is from the West, and that although our sins are like scarlet, He will make them white as snow. the Bible also says that when we ask for forgiveness God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As far as big and little sins, the Bible says that all sin is equal- gossip is just as bad as murder, lust is just as bad as adultery. Humans categorize sins into sizes, according to the Bible God does not.

Thats when God wants you to come to him, Your convicted by your own guilt. He hasn't written anyone off. He'll have you feeling better when you trust more in His love for you and believe that He can and does forgive you. Now is a good time to recall the sinners pray.

Think of yourself as the adulteress who was brought before Jesus by an angry mob who wanted to stone her. "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone," He said. As they all slipped away in shame He said to her, "Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more."
God has been watching human history for 6,000 bloody and horrible years. I can assure that nothing you've done shocks Him enough to make Him write you off.
