That the secular progressives want to eliminate terms like "A.D, "BC" and "christmas" because they are mideveal, outdated, bigoted poson and must be eliminated at all costs from the world, ye the fact that our months and days are largely named after Roman, viking etc. figures (e.g. Janus-Jaunuary Thor-Thursday) is a glowing testimony to the diverse and wondurful nature of human history? Why not eliminate these terms too? And why isn't there a heated debate about naming our planets after Roman Gods? Is it me or is it just Christianity is to be destroyed but everything else can stay? What's up?

These are great points. Even the planets were named in honor of the Roman god's. It wasn't the Greek and Roman gods being named after the planets. It is looking more and more like the world is at war with Christian everywhere. Unlike Muslims we will NOT pick up weapons and kills others that isn't the way Our Lord taught us to act... Jim

I don't know anything about the A.D. ,B.C. thing but the word christmas does not include everyone. There are others who do not celebrate xmas or believe that it is Jesus' birthday who have time off from work, family get togethers, new years celebrations or other religious holidays during that time. Why not be nice and include everyone with a "Happy Holidays"? When xtians get angry about this it just provides more proof of their hostility and intolerance.

First use spell checker. Second don't believe the fox channel - can't call it news - lies. Third there are more religions than yours and Christians hate other Christian points of view quite often, just like any other religion ( notice how I didn't say that they all do ). Have more of an open mind.

The next time a worshipper of Roman gods gets the ear of a president, let me know. Until then, it's the political influence of Christians that has to be fought.

Religious terms in common use are quaint like American Indian names for states and cities. Mythological names are cool and as soon as the current big five are relegated to the status of Mythologies, they will be accepted.

actually few atheists are up in arms about a.d and b.c year notation.
it's called a straw man argument:
you take an weak arguement that you say that it is your opponents view and then you easily defeat the argument thusly making you opponent look dumb.
atheists don't care about a.d b.c dating, it would be silly for many of them to be rattled by its use.
argue soundly, my friend
