Compassion to me is being unselfish and helping others. Its hard for me to word this so bare with me! "A compassionate person will seek to actually aid those they feel compassionate for." Hope that makes sense!
My religion is simply this id rather live my life believing there is a god and later maybe finding out theres not then live my life without a hope or prayer in the world and finding out later there was!
Faith is believing and praying and knowing that just cause he doesnt answer doesnt mean he doesnt care! Its having faith that life may not always be the best but believing you can make the change! I have nothing but faith because when my son was 3 weeks old he almost passed from bacterial and viral meningitis among other things! He was very sick and was in the hospital for a month on life support and all! I prayed every day and night! One day the fever broke and the sickness faded away! Now i have a beautiful little 2 year old boy! Thats faith!

I'm an atheist and I have WAY more compassion than any Christian who professes up and down to be saved that I have ever seen.
Compassion comes from empathy, being able to feel what others feel.
ONe of those "saved" looked at animals as if they were inanimate objects or machines, unable to think or feel, ignorant and obnoxious was her blindness.---even more profound was that she didn't even care, at all. It says a lot about what they are taught, and it's wrong.
Another one beat her child literally bloody with switches until blood was pouring down her little boy's legs.
Almost no Christian (of the Born again variety) I've ever known knows what the word compassion is...except 'treat people nice to their face".
Also: Every single "Saved" Republican I've ever debated couldn't give a RAT'S @SS about the poor, the oppressed, those who do not make a living wage, who can not feed their children, and those who get sick and can't afford healthcare, or are in debt for their child's illness:
Their mentality is "oh well, must be your fault some how, why don't you just die, better yet, have you heard the good news? Yes! Jesus CAN actually pay your bills and cure your illnesses! see, you don't need modern medicine or money, what you need is Jesus!"
Obnoxious and ignorant to the core.

I think a picture of two people hugging making a "compass"
I think compassion is a fervent act of love and embracing each other but also doing something about your inclinations to help each other, self

I easily do no longer see it as harassment except they were requested to no longer communicate about their beliefs and then nonetheless do. This is going for everybody, no longer merely Christians. i trust various human beings experience very strongly about their beliefs and want others to share an same beliefs. Freedom of speech facilitates us to finish that. also, in case you start up interpreting some thing you experience is harassment, you've the alternative of no longer interpreting any extra of it. So, as long as you nonetheless examine some thing you recognize you don't want to hearken to any extra about, you're really harassing your self. those human beings in this website who're 'spreading the note' did not stress some thing on you. They expressed their reviews in a public position. you're the only taking it in my opinion.

Atheist here. Compassion is the feeling that one has when they are able to relate to the suffering of others and understand its detrimental affect which compels that person to do acts of kindness on behalf of the suffering person or persons.

I am a christian. Compassion to me is being able to see someone else's sorrow and relate, therefore being able to help them, even if I never had a certain problem.

Jesus described compassion when He taught us to love others as we love ourselves. It is when you are willing...even eager...to do for others as you would wish for someone to do for you in the same situation. Surely, if you were homeless, or hungry, or in trouble, you would want someone to help you...you should also be willing to help others.
I am a Disciple of Jesus Christ.
