Of course they were different. They didn't eat manufactured foods loaded with chemicals and preservatives, and they were much more physical so they were in better shape.

They probably looked very similar to Middle Eastern people today (especially Semitic people, like Sephardic Jews and Arabs). Their level of physical strength probably depended on their class. If they were upper-class, they didn't need to exert themselves and had slaves, so they were probably weaker. The slaves, farmers and anyone who fought in an army would be much stronger than the average person now. They would also be dirtier, since even Jews only HAD to do the ritual baths once a week and after menses (for women). Jews would be the cleanest.
As for height, I doubt they were taller than us! Their diet of predominantly grains would make that almost a certainty, but you could find out more by checking out archaeological data on forensic analysis of skeletons found in the area.
The "lower" classes and some of the rich, would also have been warped and disfigured by diseases we don't see now, like rickets, scurvy, severe arthritis and badly-healed fractures. There was leprosy, various rashes (like syphilis!) and they all had fleas and mites, which they could produces rashes and sores.
Even in the elegant 1700's, the richest people had special, bejeweled sticks for scratching the fleas under their powdered wigs!

They were humans just like us, but some did have different physical characteristics then us now.
They were a lot taller and stronger and us now.
Some of the reasons are because of what we eat today and the way we choose to live. But the main reason is the direct result of sin.
The whole planet is degrading with everything in it including us because of our iniquities and sin.
Genesis 6: 4 "they were giants on the earth in those days"
I am pretty sure Adams physical appearance is totally Superior comparing to ours, but we both are still human.
I hope this help.

The characters in the bible are fictitious.
The people that lived ine the middle east 2000 years or more ago were probably small, malnourished, with much shorter life expectancies than today.
They understood almost nothing of science. They were overwhelmingly illiterate. They were extremely superstitious. There's almost nothing about them that would make them good role models.

If you go stand in front of a Jewish market or synagogue then you can pretty much get an idea of what the Hebrews looked like (except for dress and hair styles). Same with the other races... just different hair and clothes styles.

Look at where they live. One thing they wouldn't be white.Jewish tradition would say they would have long hair.Long beards with the center hairs plucked out(OUCH).The age thing could be one of two things. They were beefier.Or originally we were suppose to live forever.Maybe even though we corrupted by sin.Living a long time. Was just a after effect.

They were probably shorter, since we have been getting taller recently (an examination of old castles and other buildings proves that), mostly unshaven, and likely smelled rather badly. Physical examinations of preserved corpses revealed that they did not live such rediculously long times, wither. If you made it past thirty-five or more you were old.

I think the people spoken of in the Bible were shorter than we are. The rest of their bodies looked like us.

I'm sure dress and styles (hair, beards, etc...) were different but I speculate they would look pretty similar. Possibly, the average heighth might have been shorter for most.
