I have been very ill, and the doctors have pretty much decided I have a failing gall bladder, but now they're saying I may have lyme as well. I am a college student and should be at school, but its beginning to look like I may not be able go this semester. There are issues with my home situation such that its not emotionally healthy for me to spend any period of time here, let alone the 9 months it will be if I can't go back to school. I myself am pagan, but would appreciate any positive thoughts or prayers or whatever that anyone would be willing to send in my direction.

Should the Catholic Church in UK be exempted from the new anti-discrimination in goods and services legislation soon to be introduced so that it's Catholic run adoption agencies can continue to discriminate against and turn away gay couples who wish to adopt.
(gays have been able to adopt in UK for some years already so gay adoption is not the issue here, discrimination is the issue.)

..according to the bible and christians.. how do you feel about/ explain the fact that men and women have exactly the same amount of ribs? Look at any chest x-ray to see this , its just another urban myth that they differ. Anyway, I ask merely through interest.

Such a joke to believe that your made-up god is the right one, and all the others (even those of all other religions today) are wrong...

I am in Honors English I and my class was assigned a one thousand word paper on a topic of our choice. Since I am an atheist, my topic is religion. If you could answer the following questions, I'd be really grateful!

Are you religious?
Why or why not?
Regardless of either answer do you believe in God?
Why or why not?
If you are religious, what are you? (Christian, Jewish, etc.)
Describe your religion in your own words.
What is your view on religion in general?

I only need about four sets of answers, but if a lot more people want to answer, I wouldn't mind at all!
Please help me! (The rough draft is due this Friday! >.<)

Thank you very much!

I am against abortion it sucks. I'm against it for many different reasons. But, what I would like to know is, if it is considered a sin or not. And if it isn't do you believe it should be. Why or why not? If it is not a sin I think it should be considered one. This is because, 1 of the 10 commandments is; Thou Shall Not Kill. Abortion is killing your baby. People keep telling me abortion is not murder, the baby is not even grown yet, it's still in it's tissue stage...blah blah blah. I don't know much of that baby tissue stages stuff I'm only 13. But, I do know this when babies are first in your stomach they have a heart. And once that baby has a heart it is a LIVING thing. Therefore you are murdering a living thing no matter if it is still in its "tissue" stage. This is what I think, I would like more opinions for more ideas.

:-) Thank You

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnist thyself; for thou that judgest doeth the same things. -Romans 2:1
Are you so naive to think that You will escape the Judgment of God? Or that no one can see your faults which you so clearly announce???

Praying is a waste of time

What causes things to happen is usually a series of events involving people's choices(free will) which leads to the outcome

Have you ever investigated other churches? Not just relying upon what people say, but actually doing some investigating? It seems to me that once a person embraces a faith, they become very narrow minded and almost deaf to any other thinking. If you have honestly investigated other churches, can you please tell me which ones, and why they were not for you?

"Christians should follow Jesus' words more closely. The rest of The Bible is for children"... this is what i read in one of the answers in here...
So is this true? you don't follow the other parts of the bible? So you trust in the desciples and not in Moses, or the other Prophets?

Those of you that trust in Science more than God.

Why do you trust science to tell you everything and anything about God,when they are just as blind or more than you are when it concerns things of the spirit?

Matthew 15:14-Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch

Matthew 23:24-Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Luke 6:39-And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

So why do people expect scientist to lead them to 777 milk&honey ave when the scientist are just as or more lost spiritually. Is it not more than likely that if the scientist are just as lost then they will more than likely lead people to 666 brimstone&fire rd?

It doesnt make sense to me,people trust the scientist who are just as lost rather than miniters, preachers&evangilist of Christ.Where is the "logic" in this?

Last year (senior yr of hs) my physiology teacher said to me "If you do not go to church you are not a true Christian. The word of God states you must go under one roof with other devoted followers to praise the name of the Lord." If that statement is true, am I not a "good" or practicing Christian? I try to lead a good life, with good morals, and a strong belief in God. but I don't have time on the weekends to go to Church. Will I be punished for this, or judged based on my sins and if i repented to the Lord above?
