I feel that it justifies my atheism. Thank you for reminding me.

"God prefers man over woman?" Sounds like a Redneck quote after a night of drinking! I am always amazed at these arguments over women and men being equal. Of course they are not equal! They aren't even equal within there own sex, why would they be equal across the sexes? Men are Men and Women are Women! No one is beneath the other unless they choose to be. As far as genetics it is a scientific fact that some species can procreate within one sex, however, men (and women) are Mammals and I'm not aware of any mammal that procreates on it's own, (except one case, if you are biblical minded!). It is more plausible to wonder if mankind may someday be unable to procreate because of radiation and pollution. In this case I would expect science to intervene to preserve human life.

In the human body there are 24 of these long, slender, curved bones enclosing the chest cavity. Arranged in 12 pairs, they form a cage protecting the heart and lungs. Blood is produced in the marrow of the rib bones.
In the creation of woman, God did not make her separate and distinct from man by forming her from the dust of the ground, as he had done in the creation of Adam. He took a rib from Adam’s side, and from it He built for Adam a perfect counterpart, the woman Eve. (Ge 2:21, 22)
this did not disturb the reproductive cells of Adam so as to affect his children, boys or girls, in their rib structure. The human male and female both have 24 ribs.
It is of interest to note that a rib that has been removed will grow again, replacing itself, as long as the periosteum (the membrane of connective tissue that covers the bone) is allowed to remain.
Whether Jehovah God followed this procedure or not the record does not state; however, as man’s Creator, God was certainly aware of this unusual quality of the rib bones

I would hope some of you are joking with these questions. Eve was taken from Adam's rib God is not continually taken men's ribs to make women. The same to the questioner who was asking if man was made from dust why do will still have dirt? We all came from these sources Adam and Eve..We do now reproduce naturally through biological methods. The source continues to be God.

Of course men have one rib less than women. It's just like when a man loses a leg in an accident, all his children are then born with only one leg.
I thought that was obvious.
Pssssst...............Don't tell the others.
(They'll all want to be atheists)

Of course men and women have the same number of ribs. They are both human.
If I were to lose a finger in an industrial accident before I have children, my children will still be born with 10 fingers.

My mother-in-law is a cardiologist, and I have asked her this question.
Humans have 12 sets of ribs, and there is no difference in gender. Men and women have the same number (24).

that's a good one. How can you imagine that women have one rib less than men, i don´t need an x-ray to know that.
Women are created from a man's rib at the begining of everthing. Close to the heart to be loved by them, under the arm to be protected by them and from their side to be equal to them.

Ask away- You will learn something. It's number of ribs, by the way- amount is like weight. HE took Adam's rib and used it to make woman then he put it back into Adam. He's the supreme being, see?
